  • I must have ADD....I couldn't make it through this whole post. Too long, sorry.
  • I have seen anorexic girls on here (mainly teens) who were emaciated and looked like they came out of a concentration camp. They had ridiculous weight loss goals and even more ridiculous food diaries. A couple of girls were consuming only 500 calories a day and exercising enough to burn 500!! I said something to one of…
  • I'm not using a diet plan. Here is what I am doing: -eating less carbs (I have cut out soda, rice, pasta, white flour and sugar, bread, etc.) -less sodium -eating more fish and chicken -eating more fresh fruits and veggies -drinking more water -exercising a minimum of 5 times a week, 30 minutes a day **I eat 1400 calories a…
  • There's no secret. Eat less exercise more. It all comes off the old fashioned way.
  • Cut, paste, delete last answer & fill in yours! 1. What are your MFP goals? To love the person I see in the mirror 2. What did you eat for breakfast? Anything from a scrambled eggs to turkey chili! 3. What do you do with "me" time? Watch reality tv 4. 2 Radom things in your closet? Old photographs and my favorite blanket…
  • Woo hoo!! I did it!! The after pic kinda cut off on the right side, but it worked!!
  • I did the same thing. I have head shots from before, but I don't really have any full body shots from before. I am making sure I take some now though as I continue on this journey. It feels good to see the fruits of our labor doesn't it?
  • It does take dedication to keep it all logged. I use my phone app all the time. The big thing I make sure I always record are things like ketchup, mayo, and salad dressings. If it has calories I log it...even sweetener and margarine. It gets easier with time.
  • I agree. Swimming is great as long as your incisions have healed. I just had 5 hernias repaired the 7th of this month and I went swimming today. It didn't bother me at all. That is the lowest impact way to get exercise in my opinion. I am the same age as you and within 10 pounds of your weight. I also have physical…
  • Are you a vegetarian? I looked at 2 days of your diary and didn't see any meat. You seem to be making good food choices, just not eating enough of what you choose. I also see you aren't eating any snacks. Try eating 6 times a day...3 meals and 3 snacks. I hope this helps.
  • Yes! Why wouldn't you? Of course you do! They all add up!
  • It could be from the sodium in the crisps. You may have lost that much simply because your sodium intake has decreased. Lots of sodium will make you retain fluid. Also, I am not sure if they are available where you live, but here in the US there are a type of crisp/ chip by Sensible Portions called Veggie Straws and Veggie…
  • Make sure you eat your exercise calories back....at least a good portion of them, even if it seems like a lot of food to you, do it. You gotta add fuel to the fire or it goes out. Read the post the wingchunrick posted. Also search "exercise calories" or "plateau" on here for other posts about those topics. A lot has been…
  • Awww! Thanks Ed! I am so grateful for you! You have been able to help me and encourage me with things that nobody else could. You know what I am talking about. Thanks so much for the kind words. You are truly a sweetheart! Angela
  • It will work if you work it.....
  • Nothing....I am having surgery! I can't eat until later this afternoon. :frown:
  • Ok....I looked over your diary...I will tell you the things that stuck out to me: -Regular taco seasoning-use Mrs. Dash fiesta lime seasoning and 1/4 of a envelope of reduced sodium taco seasoning. -Fajitas- Are these homemade or pre-packaged? Making your own and using your own seasonings like Mrs. Dash fiesta lime…
  • When you get up in the middle of the night and go check on your computer how many calories are in something you are planning on eating for the day! I will lay in bed with my wheels spinning, trying to figure out how many calories are in what I am planning on eating the next day. I often tip toe out into the livingroom and…
  • Here is a calculator that will show you what the numbers should be specific to your weight, sex, age, etc. Eating too much protein isn't really a bad thing. However, eating too many carbs can really make it hard to lose weigh. I lowered my carbs below the suggested amount. My doctor told me what I should have them set at…
  • I posted a similar topic once and it got removed by mediators. Supposedly I was trying to start something!! This is a topic that comes up frequently...it bugs the crap outta me too!!
  • "Fish lemon juice".....ewwwwww! :noway: I'm just kidding! I hope that was a typo...LMAO:laugh:
  • My first HRM only gave your heart rate. I didn't realize it when I got it. Thank God they let me return it! I got a new one that figures it all for me and stores up to 10 exercise sessions in it. I love it!! Thanks though.....
  • Your HRM should do that for you. You should be able to enter your resting heart rate, weight, age, sex, in the HRM and then it will figure out your "zone heart rate". When you stop the HRM at the end of an exercise session it should display how many calories you burned. Does yours have a chest strap?
  • Breakstone's has a low sodium cottage cheese. It is very good!! It has 290 grams of sodium per serving vs. 400 grams in the regular kind.
  • I got a heart rate monitor and I wear it when I am doing something that I know is enough exercise to put my heart rate in the zone. I would recommend one with a chest strap. They are easily concealed under a shirt. That would be the most accurate way to tell exactly how much you are burning when you work those crazy…
  • Yeah....I have learned the hard way to look at the nutritional information BEFORE I go eat!! LOL! I heard the Cheesecake Factory is really bad! I did that at Applebee's. I had one of those little dessert shooters. I thought, "well I am doing good....it is super tiny compared to the other desserts"...yeah right!!…
  • 1. Weight at the time of plateau-238 (Feb. 10, 2011) 2. Weight you had lost before plateau-11 pounds 3. Calories you were eating before plateau - a net of 1200, not eating exercise calories 4. How many calories you increased-incresed 200 calories to a net of 1400 plus my exercise calories 5. Did it work? If so, for how…
  • Do you mean you eat only 500 calories in one day???
