Where we live, other than a local health food store, there is nowhere to buy foods that my nephew can eat. Whole Foods is just where she does her shopping. He is 9 and he is autistic. He was tube fed until he was 5 do to other medical problems. He does eat things like potatoes, sweet potatoes, but he has issues with…

No, I am not having a rough day. Actually I had a wonderful day. I just found your begging for help to get your "weight gainer" down a bit crazy. Maybe it is just the way you worded it....sorry if I pissed you off. I actually got two private messages telling me "well said"....so obviously I am not the only one that found…

How is someone supposed to help you drink your weight gainer? If you are gonna drink it, then drink it...I don't think someone can force feed you your weight gainer via the internet. It is up to you to get it down. Sorry, just my opinion. I am trying to lose weight and I have many friends that give me tons of support.…

I invested in a pair of Brooks that are specially made for people with flat feet. I had them custom fit for my feet. They even molded the insoles for my feet, but added an increased arch. I used to have shin splint and knee pain. I don't any more. If you can find a sports place that does the custom fitting it may really…

Why do you have all of those restrictions? Are you allergic or what? My nephew is gluten-free, dairy-free, dye free and I see the difficulty my sister has preparing his meals. She spends nearly $500 a month on foods from Whole foods for him. I couldn't imagine having all those restrictions.

What is paracetomol? I have never heard of that.

I have mine visible to my friends. I just got sick of rude comments from people I didn't even know...that even know me. I don't mind constructive criticism, but please....I don't need to be bashed for my choices.

My first goal was to walk a mile. It took me over an hour and I huffed and puffed and had cramps in my side. Now I can walk 3 miles in less than an hour. You will get there. Increase what you do a baby step at a time every day.

Are you taking any medication for high blood pressure? I was taking a beta blocker and it was causing my heart rate to stay low. Once I stopped taking it my heart rate increased normally when I did cardio.

Google "Hungry Girl" and look for her mac -n- cheese recipe. It tastes awesome and is lower in fat, sodium, and calories.

The two recipes I read sounded nasty...sorry.

I only count heavy duty cleaning as exercise. The stuff I do daily I don't count as exercise....whether it be light cleaning, shopping, walking my dog in the yard. I record what makes my heart rate increase significantly enough to be considered cardio. Doing the dishes doesn't do that for me. However, when steam cleaning…

That was rude! For the same reason anybody starts something new! So they can learn! Geesh!

I got a book from the library on it. You can also find examples of exercises on the ball on the internet. You can do alot of ab work...like crunches. You can lay on your belly and roll forward and do modified push ups. You do a lot of core strengthening using an exercise ball. I've worn my heart rate monitor when I have…

Invest in a HRM. That is the only way you can accurately figure out how many calories you burn for a given exercise based on your age, height, and weight.
-
I have a heart rate monitor and log it accurately that way. If you can't find what you are looking for when you search for an exercise it will give you the option to create a new exercise. There are websites that give the average calories burned based on your weight if you don't have a HRM. A HRM is a great investment. I…

I didn't log anything on my birthday. I just celebrated my special day and ate whatever I wanted...just in moderation. Happy Birthday!! Go out and enjoy yourself!

Your doctor is nuts! Do some research. Any doctor that would prescribe a narcotic with a high potential for addiction that has been proven to cause heart problems has a problem. If you want to lose weight do it the old fashioned way...eat less, exercise more!

Call me old-fashioned, but I think flirting is not acceptable if you are married. I believe sex isn't the only way to cheat. You can have an emotional affair that starts with simple flirting. What starts out as harmless exchange of words or looks can quickly change to more. I think a lot of cheating probably starts with…

That is awesome!! What an accomplishment!

I got shin splints real bad when I first started working out. The first thing I did was get a pair of well fitting shoes. I got professionally fitted for a pair of Brooks. The fitting doesn't cost anything. Brooks are expensive, but they are one of the best shoes you can get. Just get a good, solid shoe that provides a lot…

I second that!! I am glad I am not the only one with my mind in the gutter!! I have always thought it looked like someone squeezing their squirrel!!:noway: Its definitely a gimmick.

That's all fine and good...but there are many other reasons for a C-section besides failure to progress. I have a tilted pelvis and all 3 of my babies stayed butt down (frank breech) around 28 weeks. I can only carry a baby one way I guess...and that is butt first...lol! I had to have C-sections...delivering a breech baby…

I have that model of HRM. I love mine. It is very accurate. It is more accurate because it has all of your personal data entered in. It allows you to enter in your weight, height, age, and sex. It then calculates your target heart rate. MFP bases its figures on your weight, but I think that is it. I have found that for…

When I first started doing this I wasn't eating or drinking enough and my electrolytes got all out of whack. It made me really dizzy, light headed, headaches, shaky hands...I felt horrible. Once I started eating back some of my exercise calories and drinking more I felt better.

Weigh your meat before you marinate it and after. Log the difference as whatever portion of a serving. You can see how many grams are in a tablespoon online. That is how I do it. It is usually only a TBS or so.

Does your HRM have a chest strap?

It is normal to be scared to weigh in, especially when it is at the doctor's office. For me it is different weighing in at home than it is at the doctor's office. This is a process and it takes time for changes to become part of a healthier lifestyle. One big improvement is the simple fact that you even care about your…

It is not FDA approved....so God only knows what you are putting in your body. We don't even know the long term effects it has on the body.It is just a fad that doesn't teach you how to eat healthy, well rounded meals. Do it the hard way and eat better and less and exercise more. Any sort of "diet" is temporary...meaning…
