My saving grace for after dinner/before bed is 5 or 6 cups stove top popcorn. (100-120 cal) I make sure and save at least 150 calories at the end of every day so I don't panic, thinking I can't have anything to eat after dinner. wow, 18000 steps! I just got a pedometer. I have to work at it to get 4000-5000. It does motivate me. I have a desk job. But from what I am doing to get 4-5K, I think I must have only been getting about 1000 so I think it's a big improvement for me.

when you got to goal and started maintenance, what happens w/your calories, do they go up some?

I'm 5'2" and right now my goal is 180. Started at 230, now 197. Maybe after I get to 180 I will try to get to 170 or 160, don't believe I would go any lower than 160.
