  • Hey Dee! I'm in this week; I need to get back in the exercise mode again. I'm doing fairly well with my calories and food diary, but can easily shrug off exercising; so this week my goal is to get 120 minutes of exercise in.
  • Congratulations! It is so wonderful when you move into that smaller size; I had that same experience last weekend. Was in a good mood all week!
  • It is just a matter of retraining your taste buds. I hated yogurt my whole life; and i tried it many times. After a surgery a couple years ago, my doctor said I needed to rebuild my bacteria and suggested yogurt. When I asked her if there was anything else, cause I hated yogurt; she told me to suck it up and eat the…
  • I'm hoping I find that to be true. I have a weigh in at work on Fridays, and found I lost 2 lbs; but went on to make some bad choices the rest of the day. My weigh in for MFP is on Monday, so today it's back on track and hit the treadmill. Hoping to hold the 2 lb loss for Monday or maybe a little more.
  • Fantastic idea! Thanks.
  • remembered reading that somewhere also; so I looked it up. One site I looked on was your weight divided by 2 is the number of ounces of water so at 189 you would need 94.5 ounces of water a day.
  • Hi welcome! I found this site almost a month ago, and I have nothing but positve things to say about it. I tell everyone about it! The support here is fantastic. I would say start with the food and get a good grasp of that. I also suffer back pain, and find walking is something I can do that doesn't affect my back too…
  • Looks delicious! I'm gonna try this too.
  • I read somewhere that it takes 30 days to wean off the taste of something. I know that was true for me of sodium, but alas I still have my chocolate cravings. I have been able to cut way down on it though, a single miniature Reese's PB cup seems to be enough.
  • I'm in! I need to make sure I get my exercise in this week. 100 minutes it is!
  • I was trying to buy the fresh fruits and vegetables, and I still do occaisonally, but I just saw a recent report that showed that the fresh frozen actually have more nutrients than the fresh by the time the fresh make it to most markets. I too buy the off brands for a couple of reasons, cost of course; but if you become a…
  • Hi all! I'm new to MFP. I love what I've learned so far, and the support on the site is wonderful. I'm still digging through alot of the posts, but boy did yours catch my eye...50+ Yep that's me. I know it's already mid February, but I would love to be a part of your group. My goal is to put my new found information about…
  • I try and eat as close to my calories as possible each day. That means taking in that I know what excersise I'm going to do for the day. I had been dieting for a year holding at 1000-1200 calories a day and all i did was loose 2 gain 2. When I found this site and out of curiosity put my data in, it showed I should be at…
  • I just recently joined this site also, the support is amazing! I love tracking my food and exercise; it keeps me in check. I remember when my kids were small how I complained about not finding time to exercise. I had a friend suggest doing things with my kids. They think they are playing we know it's a workout. Even…
  • Just joined myself a little over a week ago. There is so much helpful information here. The the support is wonderful. Good luck to you.

  • I just started making one that I saw on "The Doctors". 1 C Frozen no sugar added raspberries 6 oz of Greek plain yogurt splash of 100% no sugar added raspberry juice Blend and enjoy. They said you can also add 1.6 oz dark chocolate (86% or higher cocao) and 1/2 of nuts(pecans, almonds, walnuts) I find I can do without the…
  • Ha! I was ok, really close on my calories, but my husband and I decided to go get a Dairy Queen Blizzard for Valentines treat. A small Midnight truffle cost me 750 calories! So blown! I've only been at this less than a week and have lost 4 lbs already, so I figure I'll start fresh tomorrow and stay away from Dairy Queen…
