My husband doesn't compliment anything. Seriously, I can count on 2 hands the number of times he's complimented me at all without prompting. It just isn't his thing. Then one day (after I'd lost about 60 pounds) he said "I can never find you in a crowd anymore because I can't remember what you're wearing and you're such a…

Amazing results! Well done on your perseverance!

I love this! My daughter (3 and a half years old) basically assumes if either my husband is or I am out of the house, that we are out running. I want that to just be normal!

A non-scale victory is anything that is not directly related to the numbers on the scale. Things like "today I did a pushup!" "Today my pants are too big!" "Today I passed by the break room and didn't take a donut!" Important things to celebrate because they show changes that may not be directly scale-measurable.

It never even occurred to me to try that as an indicator of weight loss. You know I totally just did, tho :)

This is so true for me. If I'm not doing intervals, I'm watching the timer anyway but it never seems to get anywhere. With intervals, it's pretty easy for me to tell myself "Just 30 more seconds" or "I can do this for 2 minutes!". Yay for Intervals!

I started at 230 as well and am down 65 pounds. Started at a 36H and now in a 32FF. My boobs are a mess. They were never perky as I developed early and have always been overweight. Now they are like oranges in tube socks. (There's a visual for you). The good news is I get to buy prettier bras now that they are closer to…

Freya Active - I wear my normal size and there is much less jiggling :) These are bra-shaped bras as opposed to racer back or sports bras so they are easy/regular on-and-off. They are a bit expensive but are the best ones I've found. I'm 32G, btw.

Well done you! I'm with you on the not-lasting-more-than-2-pounds thing. Before this I started a MILLION times. You can definitely stick with it! The successes along the way will just keep you coming back for more :)

As of today's weigh-in, I'm only 10lbs from the healthy BMI range! I haven't been anywhere near the healthy range in 25+ years!

Yes, I have that fear and was just talking about today with my trainer. With his help and with a lot of hard work my body looks so much better than it did 65lbs ago, but it will never look like a 20 year old athlete. I've been fat (with a few moments of not quite so fat) since I was 14. At 45, my skin just isn't going to…

Good for you! Yes, I think you're right that maintenance is going to be equally hard work. Keep going!

Those look and sound amazing!

I'm with you. My first 60lbs came off relatively easily and now I seem to be stair-stepping. A big 2-3lb whoosh then 3 or 4 weeks of little ups and downs then another whoosh. Sadly I don't quite know the answer except to trust the process. That's all we can do! This did make me laugh! Thanks!

If you've got MFP set to 1200 calories a day and you're trying for 400 calories less than that, you are DEFINITELY not eating enough. No wonder you can't exercise! When MFP sets your calorie "limit", the deficit is already built in. So you should be eating 1200 calories and still losing that .75 lbs per week. If you're…

Those are Ranier Cherries from Washington. They're quite sweet, but I like them. Those were particularly small ones, so the pit-to-flesh ratio was a little off, but otherwise they're delicious!

I rely on Spanx, tbh. I wear a size that's appropriate for my height and weight (as opposed to too small to hold more in). While it does feel like stuffing a sausage casing when putting them on, I love the way it looks once they are on and I wear them all day at work with no troubles. I like the practically-full-body ones…

I had to take a necklace to be shortened yesterday. It didn't occur to me that my neck was fat as well, beyond the fact that I knew I generally needed longer necklaces. But for that to go the other way now is very exciting!

I actually want to wear sleeveless shirts now. Living in Texas, summers are HOT and sleeveless shirts haven't really been an option for me before. Now I want to get my "guns" out when the sun's out!

You show them! Well done!

Yep. At about 145 in high school I was wearing 14s. Today at 170 I can wear a 10, but only in one shop. In another shop I'm still in a 14. It makes no rational sense.

I just got my shine 2 weeks ago. I think my username is jessiruthica, the same as here. I'll be adding you all!

Amazing job, Friend! It's been fun to watch your progress on my newsfeed and GREAT to see your progress in pictures. Well done you!

I've been running (starting with C25K) for about 10 months now. I had some serious hip pain when I started as well. Found a chiropractor who told me my hips were basically twisted (not sure the word he used, but it didn't sound good!). He did the adjustment once a week for 2 or 3 weeks then every 2 weeks for a couple more…

Yep, that's where I am. I've lost 60lbs so far and have 20ish to go. It already feels more difficult just thinking about it!
-
Yes! I've gone on a big-necklace-buying binge for this very reason :)
-
What an amazing loss! Congratulations on all you've done!

Such good progress! Yay, you!

One of my main motivators for losing weight and becoming fitter is so that my daughter has a good example of what that looks like at home. The only way I can do those two things is to take some time away from her. My husband and I take "shifts" - he hangs out with her while I run and then I play with her while he does…

Great success and great commitment! Well done!
