OH.MY.SWEET.FANCY.MOSES! I'm dying. I'm dead. This sounds AMAZING!

Incredible! Well done!

Definitely a transformation! Well done!

Well done you! Congratulations!

Mostly NPR stuff: Invisibilia, TED Radio Hour, Radio Lab. They're fun and interesting. They're also about an hour so sometimes I extend my workout to finish them :)

I've read (not in this particular book, but other places) about eating higher quality, tastier food but just eating less of it. It only takes a little bit, for instance, of roquefort cheese to get that hit of taste whereas it takes quite a lot of crappy cheap cheese, with which you may never actually enjoy the taste. Also,…

I use podcasts but mostly because they're free. Music really doesn't do it for me, but that's because of my crappy taste in music :)

Incredible! Thanks for sharing your story!

Amazing transformation! Well done you!

I wonder if there is some room for doing a day here and there where you DON'T weigh and measure everything. Still log things, but go off-plan a bit. If you can do it in a controlled manner (I get the irony here), that is, don't go for weeks off-plan, then maybe that can give your brain a break, your body a break, and get…

So so good! The side shot shows a huge difference! Keep it going!

I posted this in Success Stories as well, but thought I'd add to this collection anyway :) Around 230lbs in the first picture, 181 in the second picture. Still looking to lose 30 more.

I don't want to be creepy, but HOLY CRAP! What an amazing transformation! Good for you for doing it while you're young. I wish I'd done the same rather than waiting until my mid 40s!

Went shopping today because it's fun to do that now. And I bought all Mediums and size 12s! This is a big change from the 2XLs and 18/20s I was buying when I started this process.

What a great story! Thanks for posting and congratulations on such a big change!

Yeah, I don't weigh or measure anything except very occasionally to check myself. That's not something I'm willing to do forever so I don't want to rely on it now. I've lost 50lbs so far from 230 to 180 and have only brought out the scale maybe 5 times. Having said that, as others have said, I imagine that as I get closer…

So good! We often can't see the drastic difference because we're looking every day. That's why pictures are important. Thanks for posting!

Thanks all! You're right about the ring! Also, those boots (BOC, by the way) fit before but only just barely. Now they zip right up!

Yep, these stories all reflect mine in some way. I started the C25K program at the same time I started MFP in August 2014. I weighed 230lbs at 44 years old and couldn't run even the first 60 second interval. But I kept at it, repeating weeks when I needed to. In November 2014 I ran/walked my first 5k, finishing in 39:47. I…

Incredible transformation. Thanks for posting!

Great work! Well done you! I'm so close to 50lbs down and I can't wait to get there. Thanks for the inspiration to keep going!

You are so right. And strangely, Seattle's Best Coffee has the best snickerdoodles. Especially heated just a bit. So much yum!

I've just added oatmeal into my breakfast rotation for the lower-the-LDL-number properties. I don't love it (it's a texture thing for me) but recently I added mango compote (cooked mango, lemon juice, cinnamon and vanilla extract) and some PB2 and it's pretty good.

Thanks for the link to the recipes. I was just craving some Indian food last night but when you buy the jars from the grocery store, they look SOOOOO oily! Are these pastes lower calories than the jar versions?

I ran my first 5k last November at the end of the C25K program in 39:47. I couldn't run the whole thing and walked more than I wanted to but finished. Last weekend I ran my first "real" (chipped, bibbed, etc) 5k, ran the whole thing and finished in 36:10! I guess the work is paying off but I realize that I'm going to have…

That's a amazing milestone to reach! Hope you found the highest rooftop available!

There's a guy at the gym. Everyday he rides the stationery bike relatively slowly for an hour while reading the paper. Then he does these ridiculous "crunches" that don't crunch anything as he's just basically rocking back and forth. Then he does these "push ups" that look useless and really bad form. My confession is that…

That's a great milestone! Keep going!

Thank you, OP, for asking this question. I've been wondering exactly the same thing! I've been doing cardio and strength training since I started losing weight. I know my body is capable of doing things that it couldn't do when I started, like push-ups, sitting up without using my arms, etc. Also I can "raise a bicep" so…

If I had to give up burgers (bacon, fries, chocolate, whatever) in order to lose weight, it just wouldn't work for me. In fact, I've given up those things in the past, lost weight and then found it all again. Didn't work. This time I'm just having less of most things rather than cutting anything out. That's something I can…
