As a big beer drinker, I agree with a lot of the above. Seltzer has become one of my go-to beverages. The fizz is refreshing, and it comes in a lot of fun natural flavors… I haven't found beer-flavored yet though. Also, please read this - http://banoosh.com/blog/2014/04/03/8-beers-stop-drinking-immediately/ Drink a really…

Hi Ashley! My story is very similar to yours. I lost about 50 pounds about 3 years ago, stayed fit for a while then life got crazy and I put my health on the back burner. I'm thankfully not back to where I started, but I have to start looking out for number 1 :)

Thanks for all your kind words, everyone :)

I've never understood that dish… Marshmallows ar dinner? Bleh! I love simple roasted cubed sweet potato. Toss them with olive oil, salt and pepper (garlic and thyme also play very well with this dish). In the oven at 450F for about 40 minutes, giving them a toss/stir about half way through. You could also mash them the…

Just finished ZWOD #1, and I'm dyyyying! My quads are gonna hate me tomorrow. Does anyone else find set after set of burpees plus side planks pretty tough on the wrists?

I haven't been a shining example lately, but my diary is open. Feel free to friend me :)

Feel free to add me :) I'd love to support you, and I'm on here pretty much every day.

I would love to try her workouts. Is there a design for what sequin to do them in? Also are ZWODs designed to change every day, and ZWOWs designed to change every week? Not that it matters a whole lot.. Working out is working out :)

Have a cookie. Slowly savor every bite, so you find eating one cookie more satisfying than you would scarfing down ten. Then just do an extra 10 minutes of cardio.

A first I thought this was a joke.... Do bananas really go well with ham and cheese??

http://sweetbeetandgreenbean.net/2009/02/04/kidney-bean-and-quinoa-burgers/ I made these the other night. Super yummy! I just sprayed the pan with cooking spray instead of frying them, and they came out well.

I love this suggestion. I just have Ripped in 30 and 6 Week 6 Pack, but I've been meaning to pick up more.

It wouldn't be so bad if I was closer to Portland.. I'm kinda out in the sticks lol

Being soy and dairy free is tough, since so many dairy alternatives are soy based. I'm not sure you have to go completely soy free though; it doesn't sound sleek you're allergic to it, just the doc doesn't want you having a ton of it. Probably because it can mess with your estrogen. (Or did the doc explain why?)

Love this idea! Wish I had thought of it before I reached my goal :)

I'm 5'4" and swing between 115 and 118. My activity level is set to lightly active - I'm a pharmacist and I spend 12 hours on my feet on the days I work (which is about half the week); on my days off, I run errands and do housework, but most of my time is spent on my butt  . MFP has me set at 1690, and my net is…

Bread! I've made my own sandwich bread for a few months, but the recipe has powdered milk, and this loaf is barely started (made it before going DF). I'm going to the store today and I guess Freihofer's brand is both milk-free and HFCS-free, but I bought a package of Pepperidge Farms sandwich buns for homemade veggie…

Some good advice in here. I'm just starting out dairy-free and dreading it too. I had never heard of Daiya "cheese", but I think I'll be picking some up :)

Today is day 1 of dairy-free for me. I've been having stomach issues for about 6 months: mostly gas and abdominal discomfort, no bowel changes or upper GI issues. My doc recommended 2 weeks of no dairy just to see if it helps, or if nothing else, rule out lactose intolerance. Breakfast was alright. Oatmeal with an egg…
