  • The app is a great way to hold yourself accountable. I tried doing just the exercise thing too, but my dieting stunk. Nice to be able to see what you eat ina day. Also helps to have friends to keep you motivated and to tap you on head and say are you eating like you should? Keep up good logging :)

  • Hi Kelly! Would be more than happy to help :)
  • I feel for you. my sweetheart is emotionally supportive, but he is a sugar addict. He LOVES sweets. Its constantly in the house. I buy fruit, yogurt, and freeze fruit juice for ice pops. Helps my sugar cravings. Plus cooking separate helps too.

  • I'm looking down the barrel of 31. I had my daughter shortly before I turned 30. I gained a little weight when I was pregnant, then after my daughter was born I would be so tired or in a hurry that I'd end up eating out or microwaving something. Weight really came on then. I am now watching what I eat (helps to be held…
  • Its great that you are taking the intiative to better yourself! That you want it is a huge thing. I found mindset is a big key. You will do great :)
  • Best thing I can tell you from experience is keep yourself moving. Even if you only exercise 10 minutes a day do it. Sometimes I have to do mine in increments because I have a 11 month old. Find an activity you like. Also helps to have support and cheerleaders. With this you have to be accountable for your food and…
  • Its really great when you have to account for your food and exercise. that has been a huge help for me. also helps to have support. You can do this! Rooting for you!
  • Make a list of why you want to do this. Put it where you can see it everyday. Then look into a diabetic cookbook and come up with alternatives you like. Do a little excerise everyday. even if its only 10 minutes. Its important to keep moving. Don't do cookie cutter routines if that's not you. Get up and dance, go for a…
  • Virginia USA :)
  • I'm 4'11. I'm right there with you. Even though I'm supposed to be losing a pound a week, I've lost 15 in a month. So it really depends on you and your commitment. Be happy to help and support :)
  • Hi back from East Coast USA! Yea it can be frustrating. I just started jogging myself! It helps when you have others supporting you who are going thru same thing! Not everyone loses at same rate. Hopefully you will start seeing results soon. Jogging should help! Keep it up!

  • I'm a picky eater too. Not too many veggies I like. Plus I tend to love fried foods. There's alot of great alternatives. Baked chips instead of regular ones. Smart Ones food is actually really good. Yogurt instead of ice cream. Go online and google healthy recipes. A great cake recipe I got from a friend at weight watchers…
  • Congrats on getting motivated! Walking is great. Water activities are good for knees. You are moving without putting pressure on them. It helps strengthen them and keep from injuring further. You can always call a physical therapist or look up online some great low impact excerises . Google is a great thing this day and…
  • Thanks for all the great suggestions everyone! I have changed my diet last couple months. It was easy to just pop something in the microwave or run to fast food and pick something up. I have gotten back into cooking more. Since I have started that I am noticing weight coming off. I gave up sodas and most sweets. Instead of…
