  • Understood...I know i'm not breaking any rules and you weren't telling me that I was. It was a dramatic statement to make a point. You are assuming the (by your admission here) that the OP wants advice based in science and that may be true but it was never stated. The post is called 'help me break through a plateau', and I…
  • I was just trying to share a positive experience from someone that uses keto because I saw a lot of advice from individuals that clearly haven't. Didn't catch the forum rule around the need for scientific backing of my posts.
  • It probably is, but it still has worked repeatedly with me over the years. Personally I don't care if it's a placebo if it works. We've all hit plateau's and felt frustration and while i'm not offering a magic pill I think it's worth a try on several levels(ie, kickstarting weight loss, relief of mental fatigue,…
  • Hey Zero. I would 2nd the refeed. I started studying keto over 15 years ago and have used it when i've needed to get back up from falling off the wagon. Just came off 2.5 months keto and lost 31lbs as of last weekend and I can say that after about the 1.5 month timeframe I plateau on keto every time over the years(counting…
  • Had to watch the video to see what all the fuss was about and admittedly I found it humorous. To me the point of this video is to challenge me to honestly admit 'am I doing everything I can to manage my health'?? If the answer is yes... that I always make healthy food choices, measure my food, exercise daily, work with my…
  • I enjoy resistance training and more variety a la P90X so I didn't enjoy T25. I lasted about 2 weeks and then got bored. It's a lot of similar moves with very little resistance so if you like moving heavy things stay away from this program but if you like cardio it might be up your alley!

  • @vpanuccio: Some fair comments for sure but you're making the assumption that this group would be following the T25 nutrition guide which I haven't heard to be the case yet.. also, you're ignoring the conditioning benefits of a cardio based program. My desire to do T25 comes from preparing to cycle this summer. I can fit a…
  • I've done P90X (lost 21 lbs) and am in block 3 of P90X 3 (almost no change in body compostion but improved conditioning) and have been mixing in Alpha and Beta cardio occasionally with my X3 workouts and I enjoy them. I think I will be starting T25 when I'm done X3 because i have some more fat lost goals to tackle before…
  • Ergo why I said rip the DVD's ;)
  • Not to hijack the thread but I'd like to hear some feedback from someone who's done it... did you not like the routines? results? I've done the cardio ones mixed in with X3 and they are real burners..i've watched some of the other videos while on my bike and they look low impact high sweat :)
  • I'm curious to see the schedule. I'm have a few weeks left of X3 and i've already been stacking t25 workouts on somedays and was going to do that program next...but I don't see a lot of weights so adding in days like Eccentric Upper, The Challenge and Incinerator would interest me.
  • Get him some bands, rip the DVDs and both of you continue with the program. I do the workouts in my hotel room when I travel. Problem solved :)
  • AgilityX 370 calories.
  • CVX - 330 cals. I'm a bit hobbled on my right foot so intensity was medium.
  • This seems to be a common theme...I'm almost starting block three and similar...not down any weight, small movement in measurements/bf%. I'm generally an optimist so i'm reserving judgement until the end :) I will say this, I do enjoy the variety of the workouts and I can tell my cardio fitness level has improved which is…
  • Minor setback on Thursday when I stubbed (and jammed) a toe in my right foot so i've only been able to train on my bike for the past few days...but i did Dynamix last night and burned 190 calories... I love the workout because I need stretching and flexibility bad. The 200 was a nice bonus as I thought it would be lower.
  • Sounds like diet may be a challenge more than which program you're doing..you sound a little inconsistent? Results are 80% made in the kitchen. Try to hit your calories and macros every day, not some of the days and then whatever program you do, just bring maximum intensity....that said I would go with classic as well.…
  • The point is I wasn't back to resting heart rate until 1 1/2 hours after I finished working out :) My resting heart rate is low-mid 50's, not 80+
  • I'll be honest and say that I wouldnt' have thought to keep it monitoring after the workout until I saw the test group do so in a few youtube videos. I've just done some reading and found in fact they aren't designed to be accurate outside of the workout...that said for me it will be an accurate indication of how intense…
  • Great suggestions already! I started with 'girl' pushups when doing P90X the first time did exactly as stated, start with full and transition to knees mid set if needed. One thing I'll add..get pushup stands and go for max depth when on your knees...your chest should hit the ground. When starting with standard, don't go so…
  • You must have loved the original X then :) Have you thought of Body Beast? It's not just for guys. I have this on my fitness bucket list now.
  • Just curious, what is it about the cardio workouts you hate? They're all intense workouts that leave you gassed and improve cardiovasular fitness...which is the point. :) ...oh and they're short. I'll admit, doing sprawls in MMX is not easy for me and I dread them but man is that a good workout!
  • The Classic schedule has enough resistance training to build some lean tissue and maintain any strength and even build on what you have. It's not as focused on isolation as P90X was...many more compound movements but you'll get a great pump with workouts like The Challenge, Incinerator and Eccentric Upper for sure.
  • If your goal is burning calories then I think you're better off sticking with doubles if you're okay with it from a time perspective and have the energy to complete both workouts going 110%. If you're struggling with time or intensity then a switch might be the route to take.
  • Lots of support here :) good luck and stick with it!
  • I take shakes and suppliments lol. Seriously when I need a kick of energy I take a carb supp that is pure carbs...goes right to the muscles and i burn it all off during the workout so it's like free carbs. Same concept as Gels that distance runners and cyclists use(I use them for cycling too). If you're doing food you…
  • I'm right there too. 15% and wanting ab definition :)
  • Well said.
  • Awesome! I'm getting a HR monitor for my birthday in a few weeks and I plan to use it for each workout. Frankly if I'm not seeing over 500-600 then I'll be finding some more intensity for sure :) I just want to take the guessing out of it. Anyways, I know everyone is different and we all need to do what we think is…
  • Dude, don't say 'only' lost 8lbs in 7weeks. That's awesome! I bet you're building lean muscle at the same time if you're following the nutrion guide. Get yourself a set of calipers and measure your fat % rather than using the scale. Do you really want to weigh less or look better and have less fat? :) Measurements are a…
