I was fine the day of it, full of beans but the next day and a few days afterwards I was wrecked. If we were just going up for the concert I would push on but its the fact that we have a nice day out planned for the following day that has me thinking twice... I am too indecisive! ugh

Its not a running movie but it has lots of running - I love Rocky! my eldest sons boxes and as I am always telling him Rocky ran. Favourite scenes - when he runs up the steps in the first one closely followed by him and apollo creed frolicking in the water :). Classic

ah gotcha thanks. my warm up involved my sitting in heavy traffic, cursing, drinking coffee then dumping the car and racing over to the start of the race about a mile away. I sprinted the last section. The difference in my start time and net time would be down to me queuing for the loo, abondoning that then haring round…

Some great results here, congrats to all. I did my first 5k at the weekend. They posted two times 24.30 & net time 23.19 ? 24.30 is closer to what I tracked on run keeper.

My lab used to accompany me running but as I started to increase my distance she started to decrease... The problem…

Great thread! Must check out born to run. Ugh so annoying I'm at work my kindle is at home I got a fantastic kindle single ages ago about this guy who was a chronic alcoholic, gave it up and took up running. Expect a full report back! thanks for all the great advice. The race starts off on a hill for the first two miles after that its gradually downhill so I would say the hill is going to cool my boots n keep me slow starting :) Weightloss32 I know you were ill before your 1/2, but what do you recommend for the taper? remember…

I did a couple of duathlons on my road bike, as someone else here said if you are not in it to win it, but more just for the experience of doing it then don't go mad on fancy gear - yet.
