I'm 5'9" and "big boned"... heavy bones and muscles. I'm 165 now, looking at 150 as a goal but I'm going to go from losing 1.5-2 pounds a week to 1 pound a week when I hit 160. I've come down from 210 in the past 2 years and feel a lot better... still working on the extra flab on my belly and thighs though. :/

I 100% agree with this person. It takes months and years to put weight on; there is no quick way to take it off again and keep it off. Please consider a slower pace to a healthier body.

Check my user picture. :) I seem to have lost most of my weight in my upper body, particularly my arms. Very pleased with it. :)

Bread and PB is a great idea-- a little protein, a little carb. If you want to cut as many calories as possible, Sara Lee has a 45-calorie bread that's pretty good. I'm not sure if it's lower calories (105 a tablespoon), but I really like Adam's no-stir peanut butter because it has no sugar in it.

If you're recovering from an operation, you should probably get a doctor's advice on what exercises are appropriate for you. The Wii Fit has an advantage in that you can choose what muscle groups to use, but it does tend to use the legs more.

How much are you exercising? I know I'm starving when I exercise more, and I lose more weight too. :)

I'm NOT a dietitian, but it seems to me that if you're not getting enough protein and having trouble modulating your blood sugar, your body will use the protein in shakes to feed yourself first. Of course anything can be stored as fat if it isn't being used-- so keep up on your exercise! But I'd say that protein would be a…

I ignore the protein one. The ones I pay attention to are cholesterol, carbs, fat, and sodium... and calories of course! :)
