i threw out a lot of clothes when i moved house recently but kept all of my favourite jeans, hoping that one day i WILL fit into them comfortably. i thought i was crazy so reading this has made me smile and have hope that i can do it :flowerforyou:

you could skip the primo course altogether. pasta is not traditionally the ',main course' so maybe just have starter and second course which is usually meat or fish?
-
it really has shocked me - but in a good way if that makes any sense

i can't eat as soon as i get up. i need to have been awake a good couple of hours. maybe have your 'breakfast' later during the morning and you'll be less hungry by lunchtime.

i was devastated when i found out my son had been smoking. how hypocritical of me! i have not had a cigarette in over 4 months and i'm putting the money aside for a holiday. no matter what anyone else says, you can quit - but only when you are ready and decide that tobacco can no longer control your life.

i've only been on here a couple of weeks but all days except one i have been slightly under 1200. i do feel hungry now but that may be because i've been searching for something to eat!! i'm not able to exercise a lot (CFS and fibromyalgia) so my exercise is usually yoga based.

i'm teetotal :)

the reason i asked is that it would make the figure for fat over on my daily intake. does that not really matter?
-
yes, i did buy some flaked almonds - they'll do. thank you :) (aren't they really high in fat though?)

CFS and fibromyalgia here. i used to do a lot of yoga and i'm trying to get back into it - gently. i tried brisk walks but felt like i had been run over by a bus for days afterwards.

hello :) i have chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. i used to do a lot of yoga which i'm trying to get back into but owwww everything hurts at the moment!! i'm new here and would like to lose around 40lb (but i 'd be happy with 30 something and less wobbly bits!!). add me if you like :)

i've never eaten a mcdonalds, or kfc. subway or pizza places are my weakness......
-
hello :) just saw your post. i have CFS and haven't been doing too well of late (house move almost finished me off). i'm actually just off to bed for a couple of hours now so that i can continue with the day later. add me if you like :)

i've been here a week. UK and over 40 too. add me if you like :)

love it :) cheers
-
thank you for explaining this to me :) at least that 1 lb is a step closer to losing 43 lb overall :)
-
thank you, very helpful and encouraging. i'm also a vegetarian - an a carb addict. well, i USED to be a carb addict. as from last week, carbs are now just a part of my way of eating. i actually want to lose 43lb though, not 30 - or is 43 too much for my height and age? i think i long for the body i had before chronic…

i have entered my height and weight on there with little exercise and it gives me a TDEE of 2068 - i'm confused!!
-

-
thank you :) yes, i have very little energy at times, even for day to day mundane tasks like personal care and house chores. i have to be careful i don't overdo things or it can put me in bed for days.

can water fluctuate by that much weight?!! no wonder i feel huge some mornings and much trimmer later in the day.
-
thank you. i've ordered some digital scales, just waiting for delivery (the ones i have aren't very accurate - cheapy ones).
-
thank you :) i apologise for my impatient post - i posted a couple of days ago simply asking for help with numbers as tdee etc is all new to me. however, no one replied - maybe the post was not brash enough? :)
