i eat pizza almost every week. if i didn't, i would feel miserable and probably end up eating what i'd planned instead PLUS pizza. my weight loss is slow but its coming along. in the beginning i was impatient and wanted to lose weight quickly like i'd see so many people do but now i'm just concentrating on making the…

you look great

thank you for clarifying. any idea how intermittent fasting works though? or is it just that if you only eat during 4 or 5 hours a day, you will usually consume less calories?
-
thank you  i've found it easier (ie without trying) to stay in deficit just eating at night. i have a very sedentary life due to health problems so maybe forcing myself to eat lunch when i didn't really want it was a bad thing as i still ate a hearty evening meal and sometimes ended up over my calorie recommendation.
-
thank you  i thought the fasting type diets meant that you had to have days with really low calories though? or am i getting confused with something else? i've not been doing it intentionally, just listening to my wonky body but i must say, it seems to suit me for now. if i were to continue like this, would i have…

thank you. i thought it didn't really matter when i ate so long as i ate a decent amount but my other half has been nagging how bad it is for me not to eat during the day then eat quite a bit at night. then again, he's a breakfast eater - needs food as soon as he's up but i rarely eat until after 11.30 am anyway. i'll…

well done to you and your wife

snap!! yesterday though, i just wasn't hungry during the day so the first proper meal i had was at around 6.30pm. after that, i was still hungry so i ate without guilt as i had plenty of calories left. for now, i'm going to try the 'eat when i'm hungry' method instead of going by the clock.

definitely left on the shelf at the supermarket. i've tried to like it, i really have but

i will be more than happy to fit back into all of my size 12 (uk) jeans. currently in a loose size 16 (uk) but a 14 is still too tight :grumble:

you have the ability to change your weight if you want to. sadly, people like that will live out their whole lives being dk heads

so glad i just read this thread. (not glad about your unwanted 20lbs!!). i've been logging since august and was feeling like throwing in the towel as i'm only down 10lb so far. so.....i've looked back on my diary, seen how i've been slipping and have now decided not to stop logging at all but to plod on as even though i'm…

you look fantastic

i tend to eat 2 meals a day and maybe a snack. i'm losing weight very slowly but that's the way i've always eaten - brunch and evening meal. i tried changing it to 3 meals per day but it didn't fit into my lifestyle. i think so long as you stay around your calorie target, it doesn't matter when you eat - providing you feel…

great info, thanks  i have diabetes insipidus so i struggle at times with low sodium and potassium levels in my blood and it really can make you feel bleurgh.

the years of school are erased from my memory.

yes!! i posted a while ago about this but i'm not on a vlcd or low carb diet and it was just in general, not particularly after a workout. i don't notice it so much now - whether my body has got used to whatever it was doing or i've just got used to the smell.
-
me. my body does not want food early in a morning. never has and i tried to force breakfast down for a while as people said it was the best thing to do. bleurgh. just coffee first thing and i usually eat about 11am-12ish.

amazing

hehehe i need to practise what i preach as my last hideous craving a couple of weeks ago was for toblerone.....unfortunately i already had one stashed in the cupboard......one of the giant ones
-
buy a small dairy milk - or freddo (i'm in the uk) and a normal sized daim bar and eat half of each today. you could save the rest for tomorrow - or next month
-
also, be prepared to feel bleurgh at times as all of that rubbish has to come out of your system. i felt like i had a heavy cold for a week or so.

do it. really. in my cigarette free 6 months, i have scraped enough together to take my son away for a week. for me, my weight has crept up slowly over the last couple of years and due to health problems limiting exercise, i know i'm not going to lose 30+ lbs in a few months but the benefits of stopping smoking begin…
