have some of the thing you are craving most. trying to substitute it with other things that you think are better for you weight loss wise is setting yourself up for a fall as you could well end up eating the substitute thing plus what you really want. keep in mind that this is for one day and one day only so don't berate…

i did exactly this. i quit the day i found out i was pregnant and started again when i finished breastfeeding. big mistake. i looked at my son one day (many years later) and thought 'i really hope you never start smoking' then realised how hypocritical that was of me so i stopped right then.

many people miss 'something' when they give up cigarettes too. i realised that i missed the hand to mouth thing. obviously i didn't want to start eating more so i have an ecig - but most of the time its empty. i just find it comforting to have in my hand :blushing:

i have ME too. most of my weight loss effort is through diet as, like you, even simple exercise can land me in bed for days. i've been logging everything i eat (weighing accurately on digital scales) since the beginning of august and aim for 1350-1400 cal per day but i have days where i go over and days where i'm under.…

90% of the lovely clothes i already have in my wardrobe but haven't been able to squeeze into lately!!

i last smoked a cigarette 6 months ago. can't say that i feel majorly different but the money i have saved is paying for a last minute holiday

looking great

i'm not able to exercise much at all due to CFS and fibromyalgia. 'exercise' for me is sometimes managing to walk around the supermarket then i have to rest again when i get home. i've only lost 10lbs so far in about 8 weeks so it seems like its taking forever but right now, changing the way i eat is all i can do to have…

you have an awesome figure

i've just had a wholesome breakfast of custard cream biscuits because i couldn't be bothered to make proper food. they were ok but not half as nice as a mushroom omlette would have been :grumble: waste of calories really.

you look stunning

i had a rotten day a couple of weeks ago - tom day too. ate like a pig until i felt ill. must've paid for it the next day with bathroom trips......and oddly enough, it got the scales moving again too. back on track the next day
-
i had a small piece of chocolate fudge cake today and included it in my calories. it was gorgeous and i could have eaten more but i knew i'd still feel good if i was around goal for the day AFTER having cake

i've looked at this thread again and i'm still amazed at your transformation in such a short time. did you do a lot of exercise too?
-
you look amazing  sending friend request. i'm 5'8 and want to lose around 30 - 35lb more.
-
yes. i did. over 25 yrs ago.

my waist quite quickly shrunk by almost 3 inches. its the hips and thighs i want gone more!! i know those will be the last place my fat comes from as i've always carried more fat there.
-
try not to worry. i had a major junk food splurge last wednesday - a medium domino's pizza, 2 cinnamon buns and 5 bakery cookies. i felt so ill afterwards i thought i was going to be sick. obviously the scales weren't happy for a few days but i got back on track, upped my water intake and this morning, i am a pound down…

as a kid i was sometimes given things to eat like stuffed lambs hearts, liver, pigs feet and kidney......suffice to say i have been vegetarian for almost all of my adult life  apart from horrible meats, one thing that has made me heave is prune juice. the doc suggested it when i was pregnant and having a bit of…

i have big hips and thunder thighs with a small waist. i hate it!!! trying my hardest to lose some!!

will get the exercise dvd on tomorrow for sure. i'd do it now as i must have loads of energy from all the carbs but i think its hiding for now and just making me feel sick and lethargic
-
i don't feel good for it at all - i feel really quite ill!! i've never been a binge eater so this has surprised me - hopefully remembering how i feel now will prevent any possible blow outs in future. lesson to self. don't be a pig. take control of yourself and your hormones.

light my fire - the doors followed by a bit of 'disco inferno'.

personally i would ditch the 'cheat days' for a while. maybe have a ''cheat meal' at the weekend instead but make sure your weekly calorie target is hit, obviously including the calories from alcohol. i find it difficult to estimate calories when i eat out.

i've just scoffed 2 toffee crisps. feel a bit sick now. its the first chocolate i've really wanted in this last 7 weeks so i allowed myself to indulge in my sulky hormonal craving. think i'm still under (or near) tdee calories so i'm not going to beat myself up over it. i thought about trying an alternative but i knew that…

in a normal, healthy adult, too little sodium is unlikely to cause major problems, especially as many people consume more sodium than they think. i have to keep mine in check as i have Diabetes Insipidus which means that my body doesn't retain salt too well or sometimes medication can alter the plasma osmolality. when my…

my partner followed the harcombe method earlier in the year. it was restrictive and the first 2 weeks or so were, in my opinion, similar to many other low carb diets. he lost over a stone in weight and hasn't gained all of it back (he did lose a bit too much at first). he still follows the 'rules' like having a fat OR carb…
