just being nosey at the replies, sorry. i personally think low carb would see me locked in a special institution after a while. i love bread. i love fruit. i love oats. i'd be interested to hear if anyone has actually cut out the majority of carbs from their diet and maintained their lower weight and energy.

i'm finding it easier by logging everything i eat properly - ie weight it on scales and work out the calories. don't start off with a really low unrealistic calorie goal as if you're starving hungry you'll feel miserable and that can really set you back. i've started cooking from scratch more so i know exactly what i'm…

right now i'm 182lb and still wearing UK 16 jeans. they're pretty baggy on me but i'm still too big for my size 14's.

i usually crave eggs and chocolate which i've always presumed is my body's way of saying stock up on protein and iron. i try not to overdo the chocolate.

following a serious accident, i had to give up work, gym etc but stoooopidly i didn't give up the way i was eating. still ate the same diet but moved way less. the pounds have added up over the last couple of years and now they have to go.

very informative, thank you. i fear my protein intake IS too low and i'm trying to increase it. is it harmful to my body or weight loss?

no kitties in the house and i've changed no products that i use or wear. no one else can smell it and its not as if its coming from my sweat pores, its just stuck in my nose! i'm not doing a low carb thing but i have cut down a lot from the amount of carbs i was eating. i'm vegetarian and trying to make sure i have plenty…

thank you for posting this and explaining it so clearly. i'm no where near maintenance - about 35lb away from where i would like to be - but i feel like a penny had dropped now regarding weight loss and the fluctuations on the scale that occur :flowerforyou:

i suppose you have been tested for diabetes mellitus (type 1 or 2) as thats the common one. i have diabetes insipidus. this is nothing at all to do with sugar, insulin or diet. i have a tumor on my pituitary gland which means i don't make the anti-diuretic hormone needed to retain any water at all. i was pee'ing every 5…
