i'm speechless. your write up of how you felt that day  i'm glad i have started my journey before i face big problems - and i am no longer going to berate myself for not losing in a particular week. thank you xxxxx

mine isn't very good really. i've lost no pounds this week but i haven't given in. i've kept plodding on and logging everything so i suppose i should feel good that i haven't quit even though my weight doesn't seem to be moving.
-
all that in only 4 months?!! awesome
-
thanks for posting this. that fruit salad was rather large......wonder how many people it was to feed? maybe portion size was the main issue with the lady in the 2nd video.
-
doing brilliantly  i'll send you a request x

i find around 3-4lb increase too. water retention and a slow down in bathroom visits i think.

i'm 5'8 and my tdee is 1864. i am sedentary as i have CFS/fibromyalgia. originally when i put my numbers into mfp it gave me 1200 calories and i did see a few pounds go but this week i have upped it to 1350 calories. no idea if i'm doing right or wrong but 1350 + 500 = my tdee (approx).

thank you for your reply and link :flowerforyou: i'll give that a go. beauty of it is i can do it at home and crash out when i've had enough without worrying about being stranded somewhere and not having the energy to walk home (yes, this has happened!).
-
that's a big difference in only 4 months. well done
-
brilliant - especially after only 4 weeks!! i can imagine how this has spurred you on

thank you for posting this thread OP, and for the answers. a couple of friends told me i should cut carbs to lose weight. not that easy for a vegetarian but i cut them pretty drastically for the first couple of weeks. i became miserable and lethargic. i like carbs. i've stuck to the calorie tracking method and don't seem…

i just made these (half a batch). not too bad - at least it got me eating cottage cheese  but i've just entered the info onto mfp and the ingredients came to 353 calories for half of the amounts. gutted :grumble:

hello fellow midlander  i have been in denial about how tight my clothes had been getting - 90% of them no longer fit me properly and i was so fed up. still am but i'm doing something about the excess weight now. its a very slow process for me as age and health are not on my side but i refuse to buy even bigger…

you have worked so hard and you're looking great

ooohhhh :) i bought some cottage cheese yesterday to try and increase my protein but i've been trying to think of what to do with it to disguise it as its really not a favourite of mine. thanks for the recipe, i'll give it a try.

thank you for the links :) rmr = 1540 bmr = 1557 tdee = 1869 sooooo......any advice on the number i should aim for to reduce my weight? (bearing in mind i am sedentary as i have CFS/fibromyalgia)

i've only been here a month and lost 7lb - or sometimes 5lb,,,,,,i've already decided not to go by the number on the scales so much as how my jeans fit.

you look amazing  and you've done extremely well considering you have such negative people around you. well done for proving them wrong :drinker:

pineapple. i love pineapple but .... not sure my digestive tract has forgiven me yet.
-
i am definitely going to make myself a chart  i feel like i've been watching what i eat for ages and lost nothing but its only been 4 weeks and i've lost 7lb. good way to keep motivated. thanks OP. great idea
-
i hear you!! i've been weighing myself quite often so that i can try to gain an idea of 'trends' and see which foods seem to make me retain water (i don't eat many processed foods and have quite a low sodium diet). i 'overate' at the weekend. not hugely, just by around 500 cals on 2 consecutive days. scales went up a…

!! that IS success !! you look great

i log them. i log it everything as the days progresses as i may forget something if i leave it for a while. i felt bad at first when i saw numbers in red but if i don't log it accurately, i'm kinda defeating the whole point of my being on here and still living in denial about what or how much i eat.
