  • I have a similar issue with my SO and coke. One of my goals has been to ditch sugary drinks, but I really enjoy them. Having to have cans of Coke in the house is driving me nuts, and making it harder to give them up completely, but he 'can't live without them'. :( I don't have any solutions, just - I feel your pain!
  • I haven't totally eliminated it, but I cut way back on soda and sugary drinks, as well as other junk foods. Logging has REALLY helped, I honestly had no idea how many calories I was eating per day until I did that. I knew it was bad, but not how bad.
  • I started it! But only made it ten minutes in before I got lightheaded and dizzy. :-/ I'm SO out of shape, plus i made the mistake of not eating first. I won't do that tomorrow.

  • I keep mine closed. It's not so I can 'cheat', I log EVERYTHING. I'm just a private person, and I don't really want people commenting if I make a bad choice here and there. Because I do still make some bad choices here and there, I just try to keep them under my calorie limit.
  • I take it one day at a time, but try not to stress over a day or two of exceeding my calorie limit.
  • We just hit our local dollar theatre last night... Since we were between paydays, I got a mini bag popcorn and (to my SO's chagrin) a bottle of water. Usually would do coke and a large bag, but I'm trying really hard to get away from soda. I don't do candy at the movies anyway, but I love the popcorn!

I don't buy it at the gas station when I fill up the car anymore, or use it as a 'reward' for grocery shopping, which is a major improvement for me, but my SO still drinks soda so it's always in the house.   • Thanks for the info, guys. I feel a little bit better than I did earlier! I think I'm going to try replacing the scale first of all... It's a super cheap spring scale, and I do move it every time I use it, so maybe it's messed up? I've been fairly consistent with time of day, and my calorie intake is also fairly consistent…
  • Don't feel lonely, I have the same problem with my SO. He's so tiny, can eat whatever he wants and winds up losing! To top it off, he's not very supportive, because he actually likes the fact that I'm bigger. :-/ Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like, more support is always good! :)

  • I'm only on day six of logging, but I've been closing at bedtime. I'm a snacker, and have been having some fruit between dinner and bed, so I want to make sure I log it.
