  • I don't do "free" or "cheat" days. I feel it's counter productive. Now I will say I eat what I want, when I want, just in moderation. This way I never feel I need a cheat or free day. I log everything everyday. But that is just me. I do think if you are going to do a free day, don't do it once a week, make it more like…
  • Not quite sure what or if your asking something here.... But if you know you eat more at night, then save more calories for night time. I eat more at night also. I tend to save more calories for night time snacking. Maybe add some strength training to your workouts and more intensity to your cardio.
  • I went to Vegas in January. Ate and drank all sorts of stuff. I logged and made sure to get some exercise in while there. It didn't throw me off at all. Just enjoy yourself.
  • According to your stats you gave, your BMR is 1853. So if you sat on your butt all day and did nothing, you could eat 1853 calories and not gain anything. Height and weight plays a role in how many calories you burn a day.
  • When I started at 220, yes that was doable for me. But now at about 140, not so much. Even changed my goal to 1 pound a week. Since I hit about 150 I haven't been able to to lose more then 6/7 pounds a month. When I hit 135 I plan to drop my goal to .5 pound a week until maintenance. Take your time, you will be less likely…
  • I agree, your skin will just need to catch up. Mine it still working on catching up with the rest of me. Though I've noticed since my weight loss has slowed a little my skin is starting to catch up. As for inches, I'm not sure. I didn't notice a significant change in inches until i lost about 20/25 lbs. I started at 220…
  • I went from 194 to 149 in 5 months.... I had quite a bit to lose but 5 months is a fair amount of time to make some significant changes!
  • The TDEE method includes exercise. So you would need to stick with 1684 calories and NOT eat back your exercise calories since they are included already. MFP doesn't use the TDEE method. They are giving you 1380 in calories because that does not include your exercise calories. So in this case you can eat your exercise…
  • Great idea.. I haven't stepped foot in a gym in quite some time now. Being a mom can make the gym inconvenient. I've lost over 70 lbs working out at home. I have been building a home gym slowly and it works wonderfully. If your are thinking of getting some weights I suggest looking on amazon. They have a few pretty cheap…
  • I've been at this since mid July and I feel you! My stomach is shrinking but extremely slowly. It's going to be the last thing to go completely. Keep fighting the good fight though and know you're not alone! I've read many threads about people having problems losing belly fat and how it's the hardest to get rid of and the…
  • I feel you! When I started I hated going for jogs at the park because I was self conscious of what people thought of me.... well after doing it for a while I just stopped caring. I'm improving myself and that is all that matters to me. Although I don't belong to a gym, I've put together one at home that I use daily. I was…
  • My husband loves his junk food! Knowing that, I have to keep things in the house that I can have as a substitute when his fat snacks are taunting me. Over the last 7/8 months I have learned to get a grip on my cravings and if I do have a not so healthy choices in food, I do it in moderation. I'm lucky I haven't had to ask…
  • Yup I've lost about 45 lbs using my elliptical, doing strength training and counting calories. Although I don't attribute it all to the elliptical. I could have done it running, biking, swimming, pretty much anything that gets my heart rate up and gets me burning calories. Also the huge fact that I cut my calorie intake…
  • Ok I'm starting to not feel so awkward about it LOL It is just so weird to wake up on your back after years and years of sleeping on your stomach. It's almost like when you spend the night in a new place and when you wake up your kind of confused.
  • I really think it depends on how much you have to lose. But that being said I don't think it's completely out of the question. 2 months is a decent amount of time. You will probably have to work your butt off though. I've lost over 10 inches around my waist in 6 months,
  • Never! Good luck to those who can do this though! My husband just brought home thin mints...... Nom nom nom ;)
  • I'm 5'1 and started at over 215. It wasn't until I lost about 20 lbs that I started noticing small changes. You have to remember you lost 8lbs all over your body and not just in one spot. Give it time and keep up the awesome work! You will see changes! Take measurements also! We see ourselves everyday so it's like watching…
  • Wow everyone has already said what I would have told you :) I by no means eat 100% clean and I've lost about 75 lbs. (5 lbs before I found this awesome site) I will say having supportive and active friends on here has been a huge help. Some of my friends are working towards their goals and some have met them. Either way…
  • YES! This totally! Having cereal and almond milk for breakfast is NOT cheating LOL
  • I agree with all the previous posters. It doesn't matter when you workout. I workout in the mornings or afternoon because I tend to get lazy at night and if I wait too long I just wont do it. lol As for eating before working out, I think that should depend on what you are doing. If I do a really intense workout, its better…
  • Gotta try this! Sounds delish! Thanks for sharing!
  • Throw in a couple snacks of something like almonds. It's not a whole lot of food but it's calorie dense and will bump up your net calories.
  • Have you tried hypnosis for breathing?
  • Me too! :) The only person that stares is my 3 year old and I really don't think she cares what I do.
  • I have days like that but then I also have days where I could eat everything in the fridge lol I just try my best to keep it reasonable either way.
  • What she said.... quick add calories... I just estimate what I took a bite of
  • Just incase reading this isn't making you hungry already :p I love subway but I just figure it into my calories before I go ordering....
