Day 3 with no meat and I feel so much better. No more severe stomach pains or emergency trips to the bathroom. Last night I went running almost 3 miles in the 90' Florida heat (humidity made it like 97'). Even in the shade it was hot, but running outside is so much harder than the treadmill or elliptical and to me that…

Monday Check-In: As much as I love weekends, I wish they didn't exist for dieting. I can be good through the week, but weekends are a struggle. I need to start buckling down during the weekends because that's the only way I'm going to break my plateau. Even though on the weekends I'm still eating below maintenance. After…

Actually managed to choke down chicken last night. Of course it was Publix fried chicken, but maybe I can start trying to reintroduce it. Or maybe it's just the frozen boneless skinless ones I can't do? I haven't eaten chicken other than that kind in quite awhile. I'll have to start experimenting again. Hit the gym during…

Now I have time to update, last night I only had time to update my mileage. I'm down to only 1.5 weeks of freedom, then Summer B starts. I'm not looking forward to going back, but it is what it is at this point. I can't wait til I'm completely done next year. Really really can't wait. I'm also dreading the food issue when…

Update on Gunther: Everything is good. There was no damage to his actual eye, just a big scratch on his eyelid that caused the swelling. Some antibiotic drops and he was right as rain. All the swelling was gone by Sunday. He also weighs in at 40lbs at 6 months. The vet predicts him to end up around 130lbs. I really hope…

@RobinB, My whole pack gets along very well. Gunther is only 5 months or so, we aren't 100% sure, one vet said 4, one said 6 so we chose 5 months. Lol! He's 40lbs as of this morning so he's not a small puppy. There are a lot of places he could've gotten scratched like that, so it's a toss up as to where.
-
@mowmow, I hope your furbabies start feeling and doing better! @Laurie, glad I'm not the only one who's not a gum chewer. Yesterday I came home and our newest dog Gunther's eye was swollen shut with a wonderful gash down his muzzle. I flushed the eye out to get some of the gunk out but he was one hurting puppy. Eye looked…

@robin - I've decided that I'm only counting what I intentionally exercise which is either with my phone running app or at the gym. I don't chew gum either, I don't like gum for some odd reason. June goal = 50 miles 6/1- 0 6/2- 0 6/3- 0 6/4- 2.55 (ran outside on trails & dirt)

It's ridiculous. Just my 3 summer classes without books and materials was $2020. THREE classes.... And I go to a public state college, so it's not like I'm paying for a special school or anything. It takes a lot of work for me to make my school schedule revolve around my work schedule. Then as soon as I pay for fall, it'll…

Well, my mileage challenge is already starting to fail it seems, hopefully I can play catch up on the weekends. Work has been having me work through my lunch breaks and yesterday I worked late so by the time I got home I only had time to feed the animals and make dinner. We had a 7 million dollar bid going out today so the…

And a bad temptation is back in my life. A friend has moved back in with me and my husband who's a big foodie like me with a sweet tooth too. Soooooo.... I need to resist the temptation of eating with her and the habits.

Monday Check-In. I'm good as long as I don't count Sundays it seems. For some reason that's the graze all day while cleaning the house time. It rained all day so it's not like I could really go outside. So I went and made some signs to put on my fridge, basically telling me that I'm not hungry, but bored and to just drink…

I'm up in Jacksonville. So way way up there! The last color 5K I actually did by myself. I was so proud that I still talked myself in to going even though I didn't know anyone there. It was much harder running alone, but I did it! And yes, this heat is getting to be unbearable. I spent 3 hours last night moving dirt with…
-
@RobinB That was the Color Run 5K. I've done about 3 of the color runs and then 1 regular timed 5K. I need to get back in to running, but it's so HOT here in Florida! And although I have no issues working out in the gym, I really really hate the treadmill and it hates me too! Once I'm back in school for Summer B I'll have…

Personally after I started walking/running more seriously than a few miles at a time I found that shoes which had always been comfortable to me (New Balance) weren't as comfortable after a few miles. Especially once I started Crossfit and began pounding pavement a lot more. It wasn't cheap, but I went to the local running…

Do y'all count just the miles that you're walking for exercise, or are you counting total miles with something like a pedometer and such?
-
I've been reading but it's hard to catch up with all y'all. Hopefully we'll all get to know each other as time goes on! Ever have one of those weekends that's a bust? Yeah, that was this weekend. Not so much that I ate terrible (although it wasn't great), but the scale was not as friendly this morning. Official weigh-ins…

Hi, I'm PC or Victoria it's nice to meet y'all! I'm a 25 year old project management/estimating assistant in the construction business (aka desk job LOL!). I have a wonderful husband and together we have a farm with 3 horses, 4 dogs, 2 cats and 16 chickens. I initially started at 286lbs last year when I went to my…
