Exactly!! That's why I wanted to know the ranges of fat burning for HR. My HR at rest is about 55 so do I double it to find my range?

I've given it a few months. It's harder for me bc of my age and my thyroid. Deficit isn't good enough. I would have to eat under 1000 calories to see any results and then I'd be starving and would end up screwing up. I need to work out also but I want to know the best HR to burn fat. Some people say around 120-130.

Yes I do have a smart phone. I will check,out that app but I notice a lot of apps are too advanced for me. I log my food every day and stay within my calorie goal of 1200 but can only lose about 5 pounds. I have to include a workout

Calorie reduction doesn't seem to work! I'll lose a few pounds bit that's it. I have to include a workout. At my age my metabolism slowed down tremendously. What is the best way to burn fat? Is it higher HR? I read it's 60% of the maximum rate but I don't know what that means. My normal HR is 55

I don't like the new "like" button to use instead of support comments. I only like it to "like" a comment that is written. Not in place of a comment. I think it takes away from the "personal touch"

No I'm not giving up. I'm not going to eat a pizza (although I'd like to ????). For example. I had a rib eye steak and a huge salad for dinner. Immediately after that I had 2 wedges of laughing cow cheese and pretzels. Then I got a sweet tooth. I didn't want to have a pint of ice cream. That's the snack I want to knock…

Ok whatever. I thank you all who responded to my question. My question wasn't if I was eating enough. My question was low cal snacking food. But thanx anyway This thread turned into a debate on my caloric intake.

No I don't add back my work out caleries. I'm so undisciplined i'm afraid if i am not strict I will fall. I have to be very strict or i royally mess up. It's all or nothing at all with me.

Hi I'm 56 and been fighting the weight battle for most of my adult life. Up and down like a Yoyo! Want to do it for good this time and think I can with all you're help. This is the best and most supportive site I've ever been on. Thank you all. ????I also got a fitbit and love it.
