It's really been working for me. Work in some HIIT on it like sprints or tabata intervals. You'll get in a great workout and a great afterburn

I lose like 25 lbs by diet and elliptical alone It depends what kind of elliptical but if it's the regular black cybex one I do HIIT level 35 and for a minute I'll go medium speed then for 30 seconds I'll go all out sprint, repeat.

your target heart rate should be between 130 and 170. 180 MAX you don't really want to get it that high I would say keep it around 140-150 on steady rate. When doing high intensity intervals maybe 165

"Well, one of the times that your body is in need of it the most is immediately following a workout since your body starts to heal the muscle right after a workout, taking protein at that time will give the body the fuel it needs to heal and grow." http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/proteinshakebenefits.htm get off me.

Eat when you're hungry, but a protein shake is optimal within half an hour after a workout.

Yeah I understand:) I have my goal set for 140 g of carbs a day but If I go over because I eat a lot of fruits and veggies, I won't stress it. It's also super hard because I live on a college campus and while I have my own kitchen, I don't always have the time to go home and cook.

Thank you! This is exactly what I was considering trying, getting down to my goal then putting my calories up and increasing muscle, while hopefully still lowering fat %

yeah because it was going down, and I wanted people to see the thread so I could get some answers settle.

I really want to try going Paleo but I just don't think I can do it. I am from a huge italian family and pasta is a huge part of our diet. I had my family switch to whole grain to make it healthier but to go paleo I'd have to give it up totally. And I just love things like rice and couscous Is it easy to do? Any…

Hey guys. I literally just started lifting today. My dead lift is currently 55(embarrassing) I'm 5'2" and 135 lbs, how long should it take me to be able to lift my bodyweight? thanks!
-
I mean maybe start with those but they aren't going to really get you anywhere if you really want to start strength training. Maybe start doing some biceps and triceps with the 5kgs but you're going to have to start doing things with a bar, deadlifts,, squats, bench press if you really want to strength train

I have asthma that has gotten a lot better through out the years I hardly ever need my inhaler I have been doing HIIT cardio for about 6 months now and the only thing to do is start out slow and gradually work your way up. It's about cardiorespiratory fitness and the only way to make that stronger is to do more cardio

I do usually lose weight in chunks! I used to think it was weird because some people lose it consistantly like a half pound every three days but I'll be the same for weeks then all of a sudden drop 2 lbs
-
I know dehydration could have been a factor but the weight doesn't usually show back up which is weird
-
Oh and I thought I should add that I never throw up when I drink
