I did the philadelphia one on saturday! The hills were brutal, definitely the worst part. The running was the only part I had trouble with, since it was over 90 degrees outside and I was focusing more on strength training. I would definitely say get your miles up if you're training for a tough mudder and run outside.

7 lbs of water though? I'll wait it out but hopefully all the different types of workouts will eventually lead to LOSS since I am 15 lbs overweight now :(
-
It's only water weight, you're a woman! you have a uterus! I gain 5-6 lbs in the 2 weeks before my period and it stays until about 2 days after. Its part of being a woman, just wait until your period is over

It gets easier the longer you do it. I do the elliptical for an hour usually when I do it, but I brought my aunt to the gym with me and she could only do it for 10 minutes at first. Eventually you will work your way up. I find it to be much easier than running

For the first six months of my weight loss I did the elliptical every day for an hour, I lost around 25 lbs. But eventually you will have to mix it up

looks to me like your measurements went down...
-
Ok thank you! Maybe I'll shoot for 2-3% by Sept. 1

That's not me in my ticker, it's me in my default photo though

Anybody?

It's all about the form. I still get back pain after deadlifts. Try wearing a belt

7 :) ^^^ gorgeous eyes

Must be some crazy crazy sex... I mean I've never paid attention to how much I burn but work up a sweat... but 530 calories seems a little much!
-
30 or 40 minutes on the elliptical depending on your size will burn max maybe 400 calories. Don't go by what the machine says.
-
It's gonna take you about an hour to burn that much, which really isn't a long workout. Run 5-6 miles, do an insanity workout, go on the elliptical, anything to get your heart rate up!
-
Turbofire! It's more dancing:)
-
Sounds like you don't think you're "fit enough" or "ready" for any of them since you're saying you wouldn't be able to keep up. I know people who aren't in shape at all and did insanity. I think you should try turbofire, you'll be able to do it.

Don't have the watch but have the app on my phone and it's amazing for running
-
Wish i could burn 700 calories in 45 minutes! If I run for an hour (6mph-7mph average) I only burn around 500 calories. I workout a lot, and I am CONSTANTLY hungry. Just break your meals into smaller portions and eat more often throughout the day. Make sure you get enough fiber, it keeps you fuller for longer and drink A…

anybody else have to read this like 4 times and still not understand?
-
Never too heavy to run, just don't over work yourself! You might have not been running correctly or not had the right shoes.
-
For the least amount of misery I would definitely say the elliptical. Either an hour at steady state low-medium intensity or 20-30 minutes HIIT. It definitely doesn't suck anywhere near as much as running
-
^^ exactly that. I walk about 3-4 miles a day when walking to and from class/ friends apartments. I don't log sex, but my roommate was curious once and wore an HRM during.. she said she got a pretty good burn hahaha

$10 a month is really good for a gym. I belong to planet fitness and I have the black card so it's 20 a month and you get free tanning and can bring a guest every time. It's basically one large room full of treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and lifting machines and weights. There's a locker room and showers but no group…

You are losing 2 lbs a week I would say that is fast weight loss! It took me 10 months to lose 37 lbs How tall are you? I was losing about 3 or 4 lbs every four weeks at my best fastest
-
It took me 10 months to lose 37 lbs, some people plateau at different stages. If you're bigger to begin with, you will lose weight faster. I am only 5'2" and had to lose 30 lbs to get to a healthy BMI and it took me about 7 months, then the other 7 came off over 3 months and I've been plateauing/maintaining since. Your…

If you are working out a lot that might be the cause. When I go heavy on exercise I am CONSTANTLY hungry. it's never ending. Definitely try to get that protein up
-
lol typo, obviously. 40 minutes
-
The insanity cardio workouts are only around 400 minutes long and blast RIDICULOUS amounts of calories. You don't have to do insanity the full program, you can just work some of the cardio routines into your workout. Also interval sprints on the elliptical really work for me and get my heart rate HIGH. I always like to do…

I've been super busy with babysitting and stuff but I promise I'll start soon!
