A shot of Baileys with an ice cube.

As MikePTY mentioned, something is wrong with your current plan. You need to log everything as it's the only way you're going to have an accurate number of calories you are consuming. However, I will answer your question based on my own experience. I will sometimes drink an Atkins Shake. While I'm not following the Atkins…

52, will turn 53 in October. Been using Fitbit/MFP to manage my excess weight for several years. Lost about 50 pounds a few years ago, then got a bit too relaxed and let some of it come back. I'm at it again to get things back down where I want them. It's a bit harder when you are north of 50 versus how I remember things…

I lost over 50 pounds using the Fitbit One (no longer in production) and recently upgraded to the Charge 3. I was concerned the Charge 3 was over-calculating things...but that seems to have settled down somewhat. I didn't think I would really be interested in heart rate, but it does motivate me to try to keep my HR up in…

When I grill I usually grill for 2-3 meals. So I'll just have to stick to weighing cooked.
-
Really? Weigh raw? I never thought of that. I grill all my meats and figured the best was to weigh after cooked. After all, I don't eat raw meat.

Perhaps I'm just becoming a grumpy old man (and that's OK with me), but I truly despise when entire families go shopping together. There's really no need. Just this past weekend I noticed families....BIG families all shopping. Of course, really there's only one person who is doing the actual shopping...the rest are tagging…

Certainly not wanting to discourage anyone...but vacations are just that...A Vacation. While I'm usually pretty active on vacations due to a lot of walking/sightseeing. I don't log food. I enjoy my time away from the pressures of life and then climb back on the horse when I get back from VACATION! I'm currently working…

This is my theory. If it fits, it slips. If the treats fit into your calorie allowance, then the weight will still slip off.

Chipotle. While I could be wrong, I believe it is probably the healthier than McD, Wendy's etc.

Yep, I spent much of 2013 and early 2014 walking at least 5 miles a day (10,000 steps) tracked via my Fitbit and lost 50 pounds. Yes walking works along with managing my diet via MFP. Good luck!

All I've done is walk and yes I own and love my Fitbit. I know others who just simply walk and have experienced extraordinary results. Let my results speak....

Bravo to the OP. Spot on...Thank you for writing this.

Well done my friend. You've been an inspiration to me and it's been great making our journey together. Keep it up! 73 J

Cool. Thanks for sharing.

It's your birthday right? Go somewhere other than the beach. Be healthy about this....
-
Yep, much colder without my almost 50 pounds of insulating fat. But I'm happy to grab a coat from now on.

If you have Fitbit and MFP setup to sync, then any step based activity (walking, running etc.) you do not need to log into MFP. This exercise data will be captured by your Fitbit tracker and then synchronized automagically into MFP. However, non-step based activities would be logged directly into MFP as these activities…

I have every good intention to share more and more here. http://10000stepsforlife.com/ Will try to be more active with it. J

Probably Van Halen on the 1984 tour.

10,000 Steps is a magical number when combined with a proper diet. 10,000 steps is roughly 5 miles. You might have to build up to that over a period of a few weeks. But walking and using this website (myfitnesspal) can help you just as it has for me. Jerry

I've been on a LCHF diet since May. Have lost over 35 pounds. Cheat days are not as bad as you may read. LCHF is not for everyone. But it's worked for me. J

Fitbit One and never leave home without it. I truly love it. Jerry

Fitbit One, never leave home without it.

Yep...low carb here.

I work from home at least two days a week. I treat working from home no differently from working in the office. It's a lifestyle, not a diet for me. J

Peace on earth and goodwill to all... Oh you meant weight goals. Realistically, with Thanksgiving holiday factored in I would say perhaps another 5-10 lbs. I'm down 31 from April at the present time. My goal is to stay with my lifestyle until Thanksgiving and then get back on track until Christmas.

I never tried WW. I also (before now) never counted or tracked calories. I also never had the success that I've had since joining MFP and watching how what I eat impacts my success or failure. Being a gadget guy, the MFP app just makes it easy and a little bit fun to track what I eat. :-) I think either way you go,…

Heaviest weight that I logged and can remember was about 235 lbs. However, when I started my new lifestyle I was at 231. Today I'm 202.0 and I'm still 6'0" Goal is 180.0
