I hear ya, I can't seem to kick my addiction to sugar free Red Bulls and diet colas! From what I've experienced, the best way is to just switch to lower caffeine drinks slowly, and then slowly reduce those. For example I was drinking Red Bulls all the time, so I switched over to personal sized bottles of diet coke. I then…

Hello! I think what people are trying to say is that it sounds like your scale is inaccurate. I've found that to be true myself of body fat scales, for some reason they're always off and don't work right, even new ones. I don't think anyone is trying to suggest you're making it up or anything, simply that the scale is off.…

Actually I wish I hadn't felt bad about my body for so many years. I started feeling that I was fat at 14... now 35 and still feeling fat :/ The unfortunate thing is that I've been many different weights, including underweight, and there's never really been a point where I felt thin enough. Ah well.
-
Confession: I WAS doing so well using MFP, dieting, exercising.... and then I don't know what happened. Literally I think I just started feeling I was looking thinner so I lost motivation cause I was all happy about looking thinner lol. Ugh. Well, I gained back several pounds. One thing that's really difficult for me is to…

I use Plant Fusion, in chocolate and plain. The chocolate is great. The plain is "meh" but I've yet to find something better that is dairy and soy free to put in fruit smoothies.

I think most people would end up binging if they only ate 1,100 calories a day. What made you chose that number? Why does it need to be that low? You'd probably be able to sustain your diet much better if you just raised it higher.

I always seem to have difficulty getting myself to consume as much protein as I'd like. I even drink a protein shake almost every morning! I know that could be part of it.

What other ways/equipment could be used for those muscles? One thing is I actually don't do deadlines yet because I can't lift the bar with the plates on it yet, so I don't know how to begin like that. I was thinking maybe that is a plus of the smith machine, I can set it higher to grab it?

That's the problem with starving yourself (you said you ate under 1200 calories a day for months), when you start eating more normal, it induces binging! Trust me, been there done that. Then you get caught in the cycle of going back to restricting, then binging.... seriously its not worth it. For one thing, I would look…

Thanks for the great suggestions guys :) Keep em coming! I do have a sample packet of Vega. But Vega is so expensive!

I'm extremely lactose intolerant so I just want to avoid all dairy (even isolate). I'm also vegetarian though so no beef protein for me ;)
-
Thanks, I've never heard of pumpkin seed protein! Wondering if this would be ok since you said it can bother your stomach...hmmm..
-
Yep! Like the others said, I lose weight due to calorie deficit, not specifically cause of smoothies. But I make them almost every morning, they help me get more protein in and cause the ones I make taste super good  I make either a chocolate shake: 1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder, 1 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder,…

Thanks guys! :)

Thanks guys! I was expecting much harsher replies. I have been doing a lot of weights lately, and making great gains with it, so that is something I've been focusing on at least. Ha! But the thing is, I've never actually been satisfied, at any weight. Maybe that's part of why I'm not trying harder even though I want it-…

I'm vegetarian :) Have been for over 11 years now. I don't necessarily eat super healthy all the time though lol. But feel free to add me.

Thanks guys for the recommendations!

Actually that's the exact number I was thinking.

I can relate. I can't even remember specific binges it's kind of all a blur at this point after binging and purging for years (I'm recovered now), but just eating one thing after another until I couldn't fit anything else, several times a day. Once in awhile I'll almost miss the carefree ability to eat whatever I wanted,…

I also recommend this! Some of the things you're eating could definitely set off IBS. When I first started out with my IBS there were a LOT of foods that would set mine off, including beans. Be very careful with fiber, and even the eggs you listed could be doing it because they are higher fat. I know personally I couldn't…

I want to get down to my high school weight. The irony is that when I was that weight in high school, I thought I was fat! Ugh.

I know seriously..... I find that the less candy I eat, the less I crave it. So I try to just not have any. Once I get into the habit of getting those Reeses pumpkins, I get addicted.
-
I do the same thing! I love pizza so I stock up on Lean Cuisine pizzas (seriously they are good), and eat those whenever. I also tend to want chinese food. I just try not to order it much, to break myself of the habit. I don't fully deny myself though, so when I do get it, I get tofu w/ veggies (home style bean curd), and…

For me personally this would be way more extreme than going vegan! Curious, when you say sugar, do you mean added sugars, or do you mean ANY food that contains any sugar, even fruits and vegetables? I do try to limit my added sugar intake a bit, I do find it lowers cravings, but I would never go NO sugar. That's…

How did you gain weight in the first place then?

Thanks for sharing! Unfortunately EDs don't tend to just randomly go away without some work... I would highly suggest you begin seeing a therapist to get at the root cause of your ED, and to work on getting better. I had an ED for years as well, took me a few years to get well and to re-teach my body to digest normally,…

Ugh, I hear that. My problem is that I don't crave specific foods, I just am soooo hungry! It's like my stomach turns into a black hole. Normally I'm used to eating a dieting amount and am ok with it, but it's really hard for me to stay within my caloric range the week before. Still haven't quite figured out a way to…

Awesome job! :)

Hello! I previously had anorexia and bulimia, recovered now :) It took quite awhile but I'm doing well now. I can understand the dieting/exercising being triggering, for years it's been hard for me to do any sort of dieting and exercising for that reason. Because of that, I gained some weight. I think the key is too go…

That's fine that you want to eat differently, but honestly.... it bothers me when people use the "I can't get enough protein" excuse for stopping being vegan/vegetarian. You totally can, you're choosing not to. Which is fine, but it then feeds the stereotype that vegans/vegetarians can't get protein. Just say you want to…
