I meant to ask 'how' do you know your metabolism is slow?
-
done

It has already been said that you aren't eating enough. How much weight are you looking to lose? And do you know your metabolism is slow?
-
Welcome and good luck!

You don't think the Trucker743 has been told what it will be like post op, thought it out and ecided that the WLS was the best option for her? I doubt the decision has been taken likely.
-
Have you used the forums at https://www.bariatricpal.com/? The forums would be a good source of bariatric/wls information and they are quite active, ignore the ads for their store (unless of course you want to buy something from there)..
-
Weight loss surgery isn't a first choice, its generally a last resort for the majority. Don't you think if the OP could lose weight the 'old fashioned way' they would have done so by now and maintained it long term.
-
How much protein, fat and carbs are you consuming on a daily basis? What foods are you getting your carbs from?
-
Too much drama I think. Had you had any communication since the date two weeks ago?

If hypnotherapy is going to work its going need to more than one session. Ongoing sessons or personalised recordings are needed for reinforcement. There is also a lot of 'homework' you'd need to do for reinforcement.

My mother has dementia, she is 78, possibly had it for at least 8 to 10 years. My mother never did learn to drive and pretty much walked everywhere, she wasn't into active activities but did play lawn bowls. In her sixties she had the bones of a much younger person due to her walking...she use to maintain a cracking pace.…

The difference you are seeing is probably fluid. Weight training causes tiny tears in the muscle (assuming that someone is lifting heavy enough), to help repair the tears the body retains fluids. So for awhile after a training session the muscles may look swollen.
-
If it were the easy way out it wouldn't the tool of last resort for the majority.
-
My preference is for the poached eggs because I generally prefer savoury when out for breakfast. Do you have a preference?
-
Have you considered a endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty? My sister is booked in for the procedure in Septemeber, she didn't want a surgical option and didn't want to have a band. You will probably get the same answers here as you have already seen. Sometimes its bet to a specialised forum for specific information. I googled…
-
Didn't you post about that here? https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10675423/gastric-band-discussion/p1 I wouldn't try to talk anyone out of weight loss procedures in general (I assume as an adult you know your own mind) but you may want to reconsider the band and swap out for another bariatric option, while…

I can't block a member from posting, but one of my spam flags = five spam flags so the post is removed. Perhaps if you contact one of the staff members and ask for the same spam nuking rights that I have :)

@psuLemon @kgeyser @JustSomeEm @35dollars @sugaraddict4321 @Nova, @Alex or @Betty, Anybody else about? Bit of a losing battle with a spambot or two at the moment

Re do you weight loss goals, set to 1lb per week...it will likely increase your calories
-
Maybe it's time to stop discussing the amount of calories you eat and your weight loss with your husband, particularly as he isn't being supportive.
-
Well done on your weight loss so far, that's a great effort!
-
What weight loss goal per week did you set 2lb or more? A more reasonable goal would be 1lb per week, you'd have more calories, its more sustainable.
-
Your folks are you parents? Leave them get their own dinner I am sure they are capable. Wednesday isn't that far away...how much further do you have to go to reach your first goal...and how long since your sleeve?
-
How much less than 2000calories per day? How many calories were you allocated? And what working out do you? Weights? Intensive cardio? Going hard isn't necessarily a good way to go. Significant undereating can lead the body to use muscle instead of fat for energy. You don't want to lose muscle.
-
How many calories are you eating per day? How many were you allocated for weight loss when you set your profile?
-
What a great achievement, well done!
-
You've posted about this before, you can't control what people think but you can control how you react to it. Ignore their comments. There is a saying I like, what anyone else thinks of me is none of my business. People are entitled to think what they want and are entitled to their opinions, but it doesn't make them right.…

2lb per week with only 20lb to lose is an agressive goal, you'd be better off to reset to lose 1lb per week. Yes you should be eating back some or all of your exercise calories. Where does your calorie allowance come from? Your MFP profile or elsewhere? If MFP what does it specificially give you per day? If you are not…

Using food as reward (along with emotional eating) is what got me overweight. Don't reward weight loss with food. If you don't receive enough virtual hugs do pat yourself on the back! Well done on your weight loss, great achievement!

Our bodies are not machines, weight loss is not linear, could be due to fluid retention for one of many reasons. Could be hormonal. You say you stuck to healthy eating, but did you actually weigh or measure everything that passed your lips? Did you actually count your calories? Those questions asked, its 1lb, its likely to…
