Hello, I saw this post on top of MFP for the day, how timely. My goal for March, reduce alcohol by no drinking at home at all. I enjoy a good glass of wine, and usually drink way too much at home. Drinking at home leads to late waking up for work, for weekends, for life in general.
-
Likely due to exercise. MFP calories do not include a component for exercise, so if you linked your watch (and are exercising) or manually add exercise your calories will increase for the day.
-
If you can't cope with daily fluctuations, don't weigh everyday. I would think a lot of people weigh weekly or monthly.
-
How tall are you? What do you weigh? Do you have any co-morbidities? What efforts have you made to lose weight previously? I had weight loss surgery in March 2020, no issues or complications. Why not discuss with your doctor? Get a referral to a bariatric surgeon, discuss your options, pros and cons of the various…

Watch what you eat? Does that mean you are counting calories to ensure you are in a calorie deficit?
-
How tall are you? You may not be overweight with regards to your height.

Hey Traci, I have Sjogrens too, however, your symptoms would seem to be far worse than mine and I'm able to self manage without any medication. Losing weight can be challenging, hopefully weight loss will help with your spine issues and a reduction of inflammation help to reduce the severity of your symptoms.
-
It's not necessarily exercising that will cause sufficient calorie deficit for you to lose weight. Are you tracking food / fluid intake calories…are you in calorie deficit enought for you to lose fat?
-
Well the app isn't going to do the work for you, you need to do that. The app is to track your food intake, exercise, fluids etc. The forums will be as resourceful and supportive as you make them.

Hopefully you are doing this under the guidance of a dietician? If not, may be useful to do so. Gradually increase your calories week by week, until you reach the point that you are gaining weight. You can increase calories by either eating more calorie dense food and/or increasing your food intake by eating extra snacks…

Follow all pre-op and post food guidelines. Don't be tempted to rush ahead in the food guidelines. You may experience some pain following the surgery, if its gas, get upright and walk and walk some more. You won't be able to eat a lot of volume at all in in the weeks following surgery, focus on protein intake where you…

50kgs at your height is underweight. Do you have a dietician or a doctor who can help you with this goal?
-
Well done on your weight loss so far!
-
There maybe a temporary fluid gain, but if you eat to your calorie budget over the next few days you should be fine. Have you considered saving some of your calories during the week, so as to use them on the weekend?
-
The formula for BMI is weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared. So there is some maths in play. Also while you may think you don't think you look anywhere near underweight that may be due to your biasagainst yourself and / or body dysmorphia issues. Maybe worthwhile to check in with a doctor or another…

He keeps creating new accounts. That was the third. I expect there will be a fourth.

I am not usually awake at the time he is striking but you could try @Jackie9003, @AnnPT77, @35dollars next time he hits.

Gone for now, until they strike again.

Yeap certainly persistent! I will be heading to bed shortly (way passed my bedtime), hopefully not long before those on the other side of the world log in.
