  • 190lbs 5'8" (not sure on bf% really) I was getting around 1350 calories then I would add whatever I worked off (just switched to 1550 calories) Fat I have had trouble keeping at a certain number but it's ranged between 35 - 50grams I've had fatigue and brain fog ever since i've been low carb.
  • I heard it's different for people who are active. I usually work out 4-5 times a week and burn around 500 calories per work out.
  • I forgot to add that yesterday I decided to switch my settings from 2lbs a week to 1.5lbs to see is maybe I'm just not eating enough in general.
  • The above post is very accurate. Your muscles are holding onto a ton of water to recover so the gain is most likely water weight. I took a few days off when i started to gain and then the pounds shed off. Also I'm sure you're losing inches around your body - it's not all about the scale.
  • I use a HRM and usually burn between 400-550 calories during my workouts. For the most part i eat most of that back. It really depends on if I'm hungry. I like the fact that I have the option of eating more since I worked out.

Although it's not fat and probably water weight or some muscle, it is still disappointing. After tomorrow I'll probably go on another 3 week no scale…
  • First week I lost 5 pounds, second week gained 2 pounds....I'm assuming the first week was just water weight maybe. I definitely look smaller and I have a lot more muscle. Everyone says the actual weight loss comes in the second month. I think our muscles are just in shock from how intense Insanity is and they have to get…
  • Don't be discouraged, it's called Insanity for a reason. I worked my way into it by incorporating the Plyometric Cardio Circuit into my normal routine. So one day a week, instead of doing what normal cardio I do, I did a round of Insanity. This warmed my body up and got me both physically and mentally ready to dive into…
  • I'm a little over two weeks into Insanity and it really is insane. I make sure to not compare myself to the people on the video, who are extremely fit and are still having problems keeping up. I just try my best and even when I feel like I've taken a lot of breaks, I realize how much I'm sweating and that it's still a…
