Thanks, I’ll take a look at these to start with.

Awesome, thanks for all your tips!

I'm a disney cruiser too. Great job, you look great!

Here's my 2 cents on weight watchers. I have joined that program more than 18 times. The 2nd time I joined it in 2001 I lost 90lbs. I thought I could do it on my own after relocating it and ended up gaining back the weight. For the next 10 years I had played the game of joining and then not going after gaining weight. I…

Perfect! Thanks for all your feedback, this will def get me started.

I'm hoping it works for you. In the past my success has only been when I do morning workouts. I'm looking for people that this works for. Trust me I have no idea why working out in the AM is better for me, you'd think it wouldn't matter. Let us know how it's going.

You've totally described me. It's so hard to exercise in a gym. Congrats!

Sounds great!

Initially, I liked the show, but the more I looked into it, the worse it got. Now it's hard to watch. If you read previous "contestants" on-line stories or watch their youtube videos, it appears very few have success. Some claim the show forces them to take tons of pills a day and can only drink protein shakes. One guy…

You look AWESOME!!!

I just use the swimming leisurely option and then cut it in half. I may be undercutting my calories but MFP usually overestimates. I'd rather be safe than sorry.
-
Thanks all! I'll try some of these.

I just started making spaghetti squash. I'm italian and never thought I'd like it. We have substituted it for almost all the pasta. It's great and my kids love it too!

MFP overstates A LOT!!! I use my HRM (polar FT4) and was SHOCKED the first workout I did. In fact, I thought there was something defective with it. The frustrating part is that all the other websites (self.com, etc) also overstated them. For instance. The elliptical was saying I burned 389 cals, my HRM watch said 259. I…

I too only work out in the morning. I usually get up about 4:45-5 am and go to the Y. I think for me the sole reason it works is because it's done & over with. I seriously do enjoy it and miss it if I don't go. I also tend to make better food decisions because I don't want to "undo" the exercise I did. But for each person…

Next Tuesday (3/18) is my one year anniversary being off soda. I used to be addicted to Diet Pepsi. My kids called it liquid gold. I really needed one every morning. I drank about 32 oz a day, sometimes more, sometimes less, but that's a good average. Last year one day I just decided to quit and never looked back. You can…

I'll be in!

I am totally addicted myself but haven't found what helps. I know some people go completely off it, but I don't know how I can switch to that lifestyle right now.

Awesome job! We have the same height/build so this totally motivated me.

So inspiring, congrats!

Great, thanks for the feedback!

Holy heck, you look FABULOUS!!!

I make taco's, meatloaf, hamburger soup, etc. There are TONS of stuff you can do with beef. For tacos, instead of all beef, after cooking your beef, add about 1-1 1/2 c cooked brown rice, It's much more filling and stretches it. I know some who add black beans too. You can even make really lean hamburgers. I love beef. I…

Congrats! I've also dedicated this new year to finally letting go of the flab. Started MFP back in Aug. Lost a bit and this past 2 months I don't know what in the He ll happened. Oh well, back and ready more than ever. Forget new years resolutions, the time starts now. Like you I have 2 boys, work 2 jobs and must fight to…

Do you find the whole book helpful or just the concept? I want to read the book but was waiting for my library to carry it. I am already familiar with the cycling but didn't know if there was other stuff in the book that helps.

Yeah. I have already seen some people who share and the treatment they get so usually keep it to myself. That stinks about the candy bar. As if you can't have one in your life now that you are watching what you eat. Good grief. I have such a round face and think it's one of the last places I lose from so I think that might…

Thanks for the support! I know I'm doing it for me and I really didn't expect her to say anything. It was just the way she looked at me and had a disgusted smirk on her face. Also because I do keep my weight loss journey to myself for the most part, it took a lot for me to share with her and perhaps I wasn't ready for her…

ABSOLUTELY! In fact I think it's a huge part of weight loss. I have to get enough sleep. Usually at least 8 hours. If I don't, the scale doesn't budge.

These are all great tips. To the OP, I too have about 100lbs to go. You can do it! Friend me if you'd like.

I definitely say try to mix it up. I'm not sure what you all have available but I love the elliptical. It took me a while to build up to a 40 minute workout but you can do it. Also that gets too boring some days. I swim laps, take a zumba class, I've done bodypump. Try weight machines on low weights and alternate upper…
