Sounds like her insecurities are screaming! Maybe it will also inspire her to get fit! Great job on your accomplishments - (almost) 50 pounds is awesome!!

I admit I've been guilty of this :embarassed: My SIL and I are very close and very good friends. She started losing weight before I did (so I was the copy cat here) and we are very close in both weight lost and current size. We're built a little different, but close. She's rockin' fours now and I'm just getting where some…

Thanks! I know it makes me seem a bit like a doucher to even consider my ex's opinion, but made my day even so! I would like all my clothes to be in the size four range, so I'm glad I didn't give into the temptation. Thanks to my lovely sister in law, I have lots of jeans and capris in sizes six and eight to get me through…

I love it!!!! That's so cool!

I had Applebee's last night for dinner and the "Under 550" menu is actually pretty tasty! It is loaded with sodium (thus the tasty part, I suspect), but if you compensate for that for the rest of the day and up your water, you should be in pretty good shape for the day. :flowerforyou:

I had three children, the last two by c-section. I had the 'flap' (yick!) over the scar area that I thought would never get better. I still have work to do but recently posted a picture after losing 35 pounds (I'm only 5'2", so that was quite a lot for my frame). It's not perfect but did see a HUGE improvement..…

OMGosh, AWESOME!!!! Thanks so much for posting this - I am cracking up!!! :drinker:

:flowerforyou: So sweet!! Thanks so much for the encouragement! I think that's one of the reasons people do so well with MFP - everyone is so supportive here and it has been so helpful during those plateaus, etc!

You just made me feel grateful about a situation I've been brewing over! My husband is thin and can eat whatever he wants (which makes me fume) and when I shop for groceries I get "my stuff" and "his stuff". Dinners are usually comprised of a lower calorie version of something we both like, or a moderate calorie something…

Great job on your weight loss! We have to stay positive and keep doing what is good for our bodies! Each day is a gift and I'm realizing that more and more and have focused on not taking things for granted, including my children, my marriage or my health! Thanks for being so supportive and sharing your insight with…

Way to go!! It's great that you stuck with it, even when missing a day here or there. Keep up the good work!

Hey, Alice. Although I can't relate to the hormone treatments, I am dealing with some depression and struggling with continued weight loss. I was losing weight steadily until I started chemo, and despite my oncologists best efforts to help by limiting steroids, I pretty much stopped losing all together for close to two…

Wow!! What an inspiration! Great job!! :flowerforyou:

First, I just want to say that it's unbelievable to see how everything just sort of clicks with people using this site and how everyone perseveres through ups and downs! I am almost 5'2" and my goal is to maintain between 120 and 125. The lowest weight I've achieved in adulthood is 136 but with MFP I've surpassed that and…

You look awesome!!!

Glad we are rallying some folks together on this issue. I started chemo this week and am concerned about how it will affect my weight loss goals (with steroids being introduced and early menopause setting in) but am going to continue eating healthy and working out, to the extent possible. I have triple negative, so no…

We use a lot of this stuff and find that baking on our broiler pan works great. You can cook a few pieces or an entire container at once. I spray it with non-stick spray and the pan catches the fat.

Good for you!! Congrats! I understand the 2 c sections....it takes such a toll. Keep up the good work!

Love it!!

You look great! You look so much younger and and healthier!

WOWWWW! This made me smile to read! Congrats on your success - you are beautiful!!!

I am totally with you on the beer snob front. My husband brews delicious varieties (incredible IPAs, Coffee Porters, Oatmeal stouts...wow!) and I just can't do the ultra's or 55's. The closest I get is Sam Light. I dig Irish Stouts, so I'll drink a Murphy or Guiness since they are (relatively) low in calories, I just limit…

Glad I'm not the only one hiding :blushing: ; maybe losing weight will help. I also remembered another awesome thread that really amazed me, check it out if you have time: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/202706-needing-motivation-like-whoa-post-all-your-befores-after

I've lost a little more than twenty now, but this is about twenty down. Apologies for the gratuitous rear shots...I tend to hide from cameras so didn't have many pics for reference. I think the chubby 'before' was thanks to my three year old running around taking randoms.

Congrats!! You look great! You're absolutely gorgeous, too!!!

I am 5'2" and have lost 27 pounds since Feb 13 doing limited cardio and mainly just counting calories...you can do it!!!
