  • January was not horrible, but I was fighting to maintain after the holidays and under too much stress! My goal is to break the maintenance/plateau cycle. In order to accomplish this my goals are: 1. minimum of 64 oz of water every day! 2. kick up my running schedule and work toward 5 miles/3 - 4 days per week 3. add in…
  • I started with the C25K program - here's a link to a website with info: http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/index.shtml I also got the app for Android from the market. I've never been a "runner" but am now running 4 - 5 miles at a time about 3 or 4 days a week!

  • Yay!! I just recently discovered ALDI and love it so much!! I'm saving a ton of loot on groceries and like their products.
  • Thanks for the great advice! I have been having lower back pain during the last mile or two of my run and was kind of looking for an explanation and this just might be it! On to squats!!
  • Just north of the Ohio border here!

  • Not sure if you have an Aldi in your neighborhood, but I love their Fit n Active brand mini caramel rice cakes. Edit: People might call me crazy, but I also discovered that my toddler's snacks are a great way to get some munchies in for very low calories - the Gerber Graduates lil' cheddar are terrific and 35 calories per…
  • I made my way all the way through to the end, but started feeling just like you. I had never been "good" at running, and even though it has been a challenge right through to the end, it started to feel more natural and 'do-able' around the fifth or sixth week. I finished the program and now just run for 30 - 35 minutes a…
  • I did the same. I lost more than 30 pounds by calorie restriction, and slowly added in exercise. I was happy with seeing myself get smaller but the real gratification has come from losing weight and inches while getting more and more toned.
  • I co-sign this.....and attribute the beginning of the end of my first marriage to things of this nature!! Let's leave a little mystery, fellas.
  • Thanks, as always, Rach!:flowerforyou:
  • Congratulations - you look so great!!! Keep up the good work.
  • Ditto! It looks ridiculous but if it works....I'd do it too!
  • Wow!!!! You look so good!! Congrats on your loss. :flowerforyou:
  • Thanks so much! I didn't mean to sound like I was self-bashing - I am super proud of the progress I've made. I just really wanted to meet that goal, and didn't really want to buy any clothes until I got down to that "ideal" size. There's lots of time for that, though, and I think I only bought 5 pairs of pants and…
  • Congrats on your success!! Keep up the great work and attitude, Queen! You're an inspiration. :flowerforyou:
  • At the Mister's shop, people call and ask about the status all the time. It should not be a problem to call and find out when they expect to have it ready, so you know what to expect for the weekend. If they act like douchers about it, it's time for a new mechanic. Edit: Doy...should've read your post more…
  • Not everything, but cilantro tastes JUST like soap to me.
  • I agree about pics and measurements, it can be way motivational to see your progress this way! Great job and great attitude!! Keep up the good work.
  • We can't get Fat Tire here - no New Belgium distributor in our area  , but any time we go where it's abundant we drink it like they're about to stop brewing it! My hubs home brews and has found an acceptable substitute kit, dubbed Phat Tyre, that we enjoy while at home.

  • I had the same thing happen when doing 30DS. I figured it must've been from exercising muscles that I hadn't used in awhile (er...a LONG while :embarassed: ), but weight continued to go up. I ended up abandoning 30DS because I was quite discouraged and picked up C25K and am losing again. Maybe it would've leveled out and a…
  • WOW! I made these to take to a potluck type dinner tonight and 'sampled' some of the mousse.....delightful!!! Thanks for posting!!
  • I eat the egg mugs quite often. They are super easy and quick, so works well for breakfast.
  • OMGarsh!! I'd forgotten all about ICQ!!
  • I met him when I was 16 or 17 - he was my younger brother's good friend, and my brother's girlfriend (now wife)'s brother. He was a young dork that I ignored most of the time, or tormented if I was bored, since he was a shy geek and I was a loudmouth overly-confident jerk! He and my brother are a few years younger…
  • You look great! Your progress is awesome..and maybe that's making her feel insecure or jealous. If she's been getting a ton of attention about her loss, maybe she doesn't want you to get the same. Don't let her get you down...keep doing what you are doing - it's working!! :flowerforyou:
  • That sounds great!! Thanks for sharing.
  • I just had my final (yay!!) chemo treatment today!! :drinker: I was diagnosed w/triple negative breast cancer in April, and had lost about 25 pounds then so I've been fighting chemo and the associated steroid/nausea meds weight gain with great success since. I've lost another 15 or so since i was diagnosed and am doing…
  • You look incredible!! Out of my insatiable need to compare, how tall are you?
