I use a Charge2 and ChargeHR. The Fitbit forums say that the estimated calorie burn is overestimated, so I don't use all the calories it says I've burned.

Good morning and happy Sunday. I'm fairly new to MFP and have been lurking here on your thread for awhile. Coming out of lurking to ask how you ladies manage your MFP plan. My goals are set at 1200 calories a day, but my TDEE (according to the 2 sites people are directed to repeatedly) is between 1400-150-0 a day. I've…

It's hard to make yourself slow down and even taste, much less enjoy your food when you only get half an hour for lunch and half that time is spent going to and from the time clock, waiting to use the microwave, heating it up. I just finished dinner and when I sat down afterwards my thoughts were more "well that's out of…

I have a bag of Dove chocolates in the pantry that have been there since early summer. I bought them to help me past the craving for chocolate. Instead of half a bag of Kisses, I can savor one Dove square for a long time, enjoy it and be done. Good plan. But the reality of it has become that I ask myself if I really want…

I don't know about anyone else but I have the same thing. Last night I finished my logging my diary for the day, came in under my calories, all my water. I had nothing unusual yesterday, same type of foods, healthy, moderate portions. About 10 minutes after eating I got the most severe stomach cramps of my life. I am…

Vanity, definitely. I'm tired of being embarrassed to be me. The perks of feeling better are wonderful, even down a few pounds I feel a difference. But I want to stop cringing every time I pass a mirror. Stop running from cameras.

If I followed that list I'd starve. Those are what I eat every day. Can't go without grapes, lol.

Our district allows for small sweets (one gummy bear) as rewards for young students whose behaviors are severe. It seems counter-intuitive, but seems to work. They gradually phase out the food treats for toys and privileges. But for the rest of us, giving food is a huge no no. Even at last year's class parties, for 'winter…

I make myself ride my stationary bike every morning before school, even if it's only 15 minutes. It sets me up for the day that I've already done something positive. Breakfast is usually a WW oatmeal or bacon and egg on a100 cal. English muffin. Our kids have snack twice a day so if I need to have a few grapes or apple…

Yes there are worse things. But as someone who, like it or not, was a role model for young girls not so many years ago, she's in a position to continue to influence those who grew up with her. She seems to be screaming at everyone to forget Hannah Montana, forget the Disney image/affiliation and send a huge FU to her dad.…

Confusing, yes. I put my stats into the TDEE calculator on IIFYM and get one set of numbers when I use the drop down menu for activity, (3 times a week, 5 times, everyday, etc), a MUCH higher TDEE calorie recommendation than when I used the 'enter activity level'. The BMR and TDEE are the same number, after entering 30…

I agree with Mamadon, focus on calories for now, let the protein, carbs, etc. sort themselves out in time. By they way, Mamadon you are my inspiration today! I was struggling with whether to keep on with MFP too, or going back to Weight Watchers. The beauty of WW is the points system is to simple. But in deciding to focus…

So far my only exercise has been my stationary bike (I plan to add walking soon though). At 201 lbs, riding for 30 minutes MFP says I burn 333, at 'moderate' level. I thought that seemed high. Except for my butt aching long before I'm ready to stop, I could bike longer, so I do 30 minutes in the morning and 30 in the…

Can't speak to the theory of eating the same thing every day except to say I couldn't do it. Wouldn't even want to try. But as to Sams's post, I agree that food additives in our food hurt us, and our kids. Eating fresh as often as possible is my goal, but it's not always possible. I have to rely or canned or frozen veggies…
