I'm vegan, but I think pescatarian is a fantastic way to go for a balance diet that includes animal proteins. Quorn is a brand name for faux meat products. It's a UK brand, but easily found in the States and other countries.

You have been consistently under by 100+ calories most days this week and only over by 500 calories yesterday. You're under 800+ calories for Saturday. Don't worry about Friday. It was actually already compensated for on the days prior. You're a pretty good bit under on your macros for Saturday. Feel comfortable adding a…

If someone's diary is open for public view, you will see a button for it on their profile beneath Send Message and Add As Friend. Some people's diaries are only viewable by those they have 'friended.'

Yeah, unfortunately, I have to agree with the others about that "starvation mode" while you sleep. That's just not true. I avoid high carb foods right before bedtime because the body can only produce EITHER insulin OR human growth hormone. They go hand in hand, each with the opposite purpose. And since the majority of HGH…

I agree with the others. Go to a doctor and have a blood panel done. After 2 years of complaining to my doctors that I was gaining weight at a crazy pace with no change in diet, dry skin, hair falling out by the fistfuls (I only wish it had been 10 strands), fingernails breaking off, and always so exhausted I had to sit…

That's my everyday life. I don't feel deprived, nor did I do it as a detox or cleanse. It's just the normal daily lifestyle for a hypothyroid vegan who doesn't drink alcohol. As far as sugar goes, I don't like white sugar. It's just not palatable to me. I get all I need from fresh fruit.
-
I've never liked chocolate. I don't care for anything sweet. I can tolerate in things such as protein powder, and enjoy the natural taste of fresh fruit, but chocolate and refined sugar are too much for my taste buds. I'd rather have a pickle.

http://www.doesitgobad.com/does-almond-milk-go-bad/ As long as they are unopened and refrigerated, you've got weeks to a few months. Once you open it, you need to polish it off quickly and keep it refrigerated.

It depends. What kind of tea is it? Herbal teas are caffeine free. Green tea, black tea, Earl Grey, Lipton, those all have caffeine. Caffeine is a diuretic, which means your body uses water to flush it out. A glass of tea, a whole pitcher of tea or coffee even, will not dehydrate you, but depending on the caffeine levels…

Customize, because I have to match my doctor's orders. 30 carb, 50 protein, 20 fat.

I like Now's pea protein in vanilla toffee flavor. 120 cal, 25 g protein, 2 g carb (fiber), and 3 g mono fat. That's quoted from memory, I might be off a gram either way on some of that, but it's close. You can also buy unflavored and use fresh fruit to flavor it.

It's been a while since I got all the gluten intolerance info after I found out about being hypoT, but I recall something about gluten remaining in your system for up to 10 days, so having gluten here and there even just once a week could always keep you in an inflamed state. It really does need to be a clean break.

Depends on what kind of tofu it is. Silken? Cubed? Extra Firm? I snack on mine straight out of the fridge. I enjoy the flavor. But that's the extra firm. I use silken tofu the way others use plain yogurt to make a breakfast smoothie.

I have *NO* idea what is going on in this thread; I just popped in on the last page and found this. I don't know what it relates to, what the conversation was about, or what in the hell a millionaire spaghetti pie is, but I could feel this woman's frustration just reading through the list and I get it. I don't get this…

I often get between 100-300% of daily iron from diet alone. I'm vegan and do not take an iron supplement. The primary source is meatless vegan products high in protein, soy based, and high in iron. Today, I'm at 259% because I had a double helping of meatless griller strips with flaxseed. I couldn't resist.

Hair conditioner, maybe. If you plan to prepare something edible, you need to get them out of the freezer, though. They should be stored in a bowl with water and covered in the fridge. They only keep for a day or two. Google egg yolk recipes. It's a common question due to egg whites only being used in other recipes.

Though I'm not a proponent of Big Pharm, I took BP meds because that's something that can kill instantly without warning. It took 2 trips to the ER before I finally took them seriously when the docs told me I was lucky I hadn't already stroked out. But losing weight brought that into check and I was able to come off the…

OP, what medication was she hinting at? I'm assuming she didn't give you a name since the rest of what she told you was so vague, but was it for BP or cholesterol?
