I answered the question "what are your unpopular opinions about health fitness." You rebutted. I countered. Topic debated. Thank you for participating.

Not needed. But thank you for participating. :)

Almost offended on a topic called unpopular opinions? Sounds like a fell a little short of success on my opinion. Not unpopular enough. :)

I don't need advanced equipment to stay fit. That's what the front door is for. It opens up to a world of free and limitless options.

I think gyms make people lazy and codependent on someone else to decide for them what exercises they can and can't do based on machinery provided.

I live in a studio cabin in the rural mountains of Montana, so the bed is also my sofa and dining table. I crank the heat up to keep out the cold, then I eat spoon after spoon of sherbet while watching tv. It's not a good habit, but I admit to doing it.

Eloquent and honest!

Our bodies react the same way to not enough water as they do to not enough calories. Eating too few calories will slow or stop weight loss because the body is being forced to be more efficient on a lessor intake. Drinking too little water also forces the body to retain as much as possible in order to ration it out for…

Going vegan is a big step and requires a lot of diligence. Have you looked up vegan groups? On this main discussion board, you're likely to get a lot of people criticizing your choice rather than the support you're seeking. I went vegan a few years ago, and it was work. Vegetarian relieves some of the pressure. Pescatarian…

Same here. I use vanilla protein powder instead of cream & sugar.

Exactly. Which is, of course, precisely what it says. It's unrealistic you would eat exactly 1542 calories a day for 35 days straight with no fluctuation in your activity level. But on the other hand, it does give you an idea based on your long term goals how you did just for that day so you know what changes to make…

They each have their strengths. If you consider them all to taste equally good, your best option is a container of mixed nuts. That will still be cheaper than buying a single bag of almonds, usually, and better for you on a micronutrient level.

I don't "podcast". Can you tell us what it was about?

I use NOW pea protein in a vanilla toffee flavor. It's also vegan.

I looked up several brands of frozen lemon pepper sole, and all except one had 2-3 g sugar. The one that didn't, also didn't have sugar in the ingredients list and was listed at 0.9 grams naturally. It's possible the brand you have is just not reporting accurately. Definitely not uncommon. Another possibility is serving…

Soy, seitan, tempah.

I think you're having trouble because you used the word "pasta" in your search. Try it again only using 'quinoa cooked" and you will find many options for cooked measurements. Quinoa is a seed. That's probably the reason for the empty search results.

My highest fiber food is chia seeds. The carbs are 100% fiber, plus it has a little protein bonus in it. I like to add 2 tablespoons in my juice drinks and protein shakes to drink while they're still crunchy. I also like to sprinkle another tablespoon on my vegan proteins as a coating to give them crunch while eating.…

Try posting this question in the recipe forum. You'll probably get quite a few great cooks offer some suggestions.

Yep. There's also rice. If you can't find it in your local grocery store, check online at Puritan's Pride. That's where I find the best price. I use NOW Pea Protein in Vanilla Toffee flavor. You can also Google "vegan protein powder" and you'll find many non-dairy options.

Only if you want to lose weight. Healthy food in excess of calories burned is still stored as fat.

From what I recall, Swiss cheese is the lowest in fat. All hard cheeses, in fact, will have less fat than the softer cheese like mozerella and provolone. Try using those little snack Ziploc bags and pre-portion your cheeses for the day with some Triscuits which will be more filling and drink water so the snack expands and…

I implement several things already suggested. Larger dinner 2-3 hours before I plan to go to bed, and if I still have the munchies, I go for a walk instead. I'm rejuvenated at first from the walk, but it doesn't take long to feel worn out and want to sleep. I also avoid watching the TV Food Network right before bedtime!

I work out while still in a fasted state, then protein afterward. I don't like to have a full stomach jostling around during my workout.

Whole flaxseed. I munch on it like one would any nut or seed snack.

So no unnatural chemicals or additives and no trans fats.

Canned salmon or chicken breast. When you do eat tuna, get the chunk light, not the albacore. Albacore (white tuna) has three times as much mercury and isn't recommended more than three times a month. Chunk light can be eaten 1-2 times a week for an adult. The salmon, on the other hand, is low on contaminents, is…
