I would - but just from my own personal experience. I'll have one around 3 in the afternoon, helps me not to overdo at dinner.

I prefer Atkins to Slimfast. Much less sugar (1 gram) and more protein. Atkins keeps me satisfied for about two hours longer than Slimfast does.

I'm 5'3" and started at 242 lbs. It took about 40 lbs before people really started noticing and that's because my face had slimmed down so much. I also replaced my glasses with contacts. It's funny, most people didn't really notice 'what' was different, just that I seemed different.

At the beginning, I had 102 lbs to lose. I'm halfway there, so still need motivation. I tell myself 'yeah, you look great but you're still a fat person'. LOL! Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like. I'm here every day!

I am still having picture issues. I give up and will post a 'body shot' soon :)
-
We can do it!!!

I've checked all the 'how to' posts and still can't get them right. The pics are on my profile, though. Sorry for the trouble, I'll keep trying.

I know - having trouble, obviously :)

Here's the website, but I bought mine at Target $20 for the ball and three CD's http://www.benderball.com/

Will do, thanks :)

Chicken fried steak with cream gravy. It's so bad, but I allow myself to have it once per year :) Favorite healthier meals? Hmmm.... Kashi Go-Lean with unsweetened almond milk. Mushroom and asparagus omelette. Rotisserie chicken (organic) with grilled vegetables. I really eat pretty simply - and feel wonderful (and full!).

Hi - I've lost 51 lbs and have as many more to go. This is a great place to stay motivated. Feel free to add m as a MFP friend if you'd like. Mary/49/Houston

Kashi Go Lean cereal with almond milk. 1 cup of cereal and 1 cup of almond milk = 180 calories. Very filling and stays with you.
-
Following! Nice to meetcha!

I have about 50lbs still to go. Feel free to add me if you want to be MFP friends :)

Have a Boca burger. The mushroom burger is delicious! On one of those new 'thin' sandwich thins, or in a whole wheat tortilla. Mmmm. Now I want one :)
-
I have a calorie deficit of 872 calories per day. 872 x 7 (days a week) = 6104 6104 divided by 3500 (calories in a pound) equals 1.74 I've lost 49 lbs in five months, so that's pretty much on target. Cool - thanks!

50lbs in five months.

Hummus and pita bread? Or wraps made of lowfat deli meat with lowfat creamcheese in a whole wheat tortilla?
-
I do the same. And I preview restaurant menus beforehand when I know I'm going out. Forewarned is forearmed... or, somethinglikethat :)

The chicken fried steak with cream gravy I had for breakfast yesterday. I knew it was going to be bad, but was still a shock. My husband ate the poached eggs and hash browns that came with, though.

I weigh twice per week. Monday and Thursday. Mary SW - 242 CW - 196 GW - 140

I'm almost halfway to my goal (lose 100 lbs). So while I technically no longer have 100 lbs to lose (yay me), I can certainly appreciate the levity. Being halfway there is dangerous ground. I look better, I feel better (nothing hurts, I can cross my legs and bend over to tie my shoes), but I'm nowhere near where I need to…
-
Thanks for the input, everyone. I think I'll just keep doing as I have been. Moderation and exercise!
-
I'm 5'2" and set my calorie goal for 1000 per day - to make up for any 'underestimation'. I walk some, daily (to and from the bus, getting off a few stops early, etc.) but don't have a set exercise routine. Mary

Atkins shakes are really good. Lots of protein and very low sugar, so they don't give you a 'crash and burn' like some shakes do. They keep you feeling satisfied for hours as well. Mary

Nothing like the threat... errrrr... promise.... of seeing people you remember as being 'young' to motivate one to get in shape :) Must be why I avoided my 30th reunion last year! Good luck - you can do it! Mary

Chips and dip. Chips includes Cheetos (my very favorite). I've given up junk food entirely, but chips were my real downfall. Mary (43lbs gone and counting)
-
I'm 49 - have lost 43lbs so far, with about as many to go to get to my goal. I'm in! :) Mary (in Houston)

Hi! I'll take you up on your offer :) Add me if you wish!
