I DEFINITELY need to improve on this...I didn't even realize it until you posed the question and with how you answer! My December mini goal is to learn to just say "Thank you" to any and all compliments and otherwise keep my mouth shut :)

It's funny you say this b/c I was just thinking about putting my beach body programs to the side and joining a gym for the winter months...but this thread made me rethink how frigging busy the gym will get in Jan/Feb...better wait until March  My beef with newbies at any time, is that they can't seem to figure out how…

Wonderfully said!!! I love reading success stories, and you've just motivated me to think about starting to write mine to help others like theirs have helped me :flowerforyou:

THIS is my absolute FAVORITE when I need a treat...and the swiss miss one I use is only 15 cal for a teaspoon

This was my first thought...I honestly could not believe it to be the same man!! I think you look great, and it's not healthy to stay in cut phase for too long, I believe 4-6 weeks is a general rule of thumb. You look fantastic and there's nothing wrong with going into another build and bulk phase for 8-12 weeks and…

I'm with you! Maybe not all of it, mostly b/c I don't like the taste of some of the whole fat food, but in general, I use it and it doesn't scare me one bit!! In fact, I've been losing just as much if not MORE by eating a little more natural fats than when I had tried to do all low fat/non fat stuff :) Bring it!!

Big or small accomplishments, everyone here is AH-MAZING!! Congrats to all! My absolute favorite thing is that I love my increased self confidence. As it was said early in this post, I am now much more outgoing than ever before and I feel like I'm that much more fun because of that alone. I'm not afraid to look friends or…

I used to have big 'ol granny panties that I would wear for exercising only...then I tried one day without...NEVER going back!! :)

Hahaha! Definitely this, but also be a trainer and nutritionist.

I second this....DAMN!

Bumping for ideas! I always cook 2 meals b/c I'm a vegetarian and the boyfriend is not...would like to start using the crockpot more to my advantage for at least 1 person's meal... I will add that I have an easy meal in today, but it's not THE healthiest: 1 lb beef sirloin tips 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup 1 can…

http://www.danoah.com/2013/11/this-is-how-the-insanity-workout-changed-everything.html I completed round one of insanity just about the end of September, and my before and afters are photo'ed in my profile if you want to take a peek, labeled with day 7 and day 63. The above link to a great blog, written by Single Dad…

Bumping to read more into later! Some very good ideas! I especially like the 100 cal less/day leading up to! Totally achievable!

Loving Body Beast!! about 45-50 minutes phase 1, phase 2 is about 30 min each dvd and phase 3 is a mixture..not too long and it WILL get you ripped!!

OP, I couldn't help but laugh because I've been in your spot now too many times over the last 2 years! Most definitely try the Marshall's, TJ's, etc and if you're still planning on losing, but need to get through a rough spot, don't totally discount Target and Walmart...I keep getting my workout clothes off their clearance…

Can't get enough of this thread...so many girl crushes!! LOL...Seriously, I'm newer to lifting, but you're ALL such huge inspirations and just so lovely!!
-
bumping..extremely well explained and interesting!

I hear ya on this!!! It gets so frustrating as Amadbro pointed out....fit and skinny are not the same things and my goal is to be fit! Thin or skinny is just the "horrible" side effect lol. I heard it the most for the first 6-8 months I was losing and had lost the bulk of my weight (about 40-45 lbs). Now it's eased up…

That's FANTASTIC!! Happy 4 month anniversary...many many more to come!! :flowerforyou: I agree that it is so wonderful you're all doing it together and have great support!

I would also suggest the HRM route, but have seen just about everything listed too! I will add that I've done the numbers both ways, and I was pretty close to eating the same whether I used MFP settings for my BMR plus eating my calories back and using TDEE-20% method and logging calories as 1. Good luck!! I think as long…

I also have had past knee problems and was worried about the insanity workout, but it didn't bother it too bad (maybe a few days icing here and there). I'm actually in the second week of Beta now for T25 and my knee is awful!! I really like it and will continue, but you may find the need to modify. I completely agree with…

bumping for later! you ladies look AWESOME!! :flowerforyou:

bump! must try! thanks!!

I haven't heard it said any better!!

Personally, I look into others on occasion for 2 reasons. 1) I love new ideas and this is a great way! 2) I like to see what kind of macros and calories others have who in particular who are lifting and/or have fabulous results. Personally I never judge, and I hope that people don't judge me. I am brutally honest in my…
I have my daily intake set at 1300 (versus the 1200 MFP originally set for me). I usually eat around 1300 on days when I don't exercise. And on days that I do exercise I eat some of my workout calories back. I. Love. Food. nomnomnom.
MEEEE too :) Congrats on your 21 lost already! Don't stress about the…

You're probably going to get a million different answers on this, but it really depends on what your goals are for your body. Just general weight loss if you have a fair amount to lose, it basically boils down to calories in and out. FYI, MFP really sets the bar too low at 1200 calories, and you should do your BMR, TDEE,…

I don't have any pics just yet, but I just finished week 5 Alpha and lost only 2 lbs, but about 5 inches and I'm starting to see mini bits of abs...this is after just finishing Insanity and losing only about 6-7 lbs, but well over 13 inches. My only advice is to stick with the program, stick with the diet and toss away…

Excellent post and some great ideas! I think mine are almost all on the OP's list, and I like the idea about english muffin pizzas...used to have them as a kid and loved them! Wanted to add my 2 cents to save the post :flowerforyou:
