If you're trying to say to work on a weekly average caloric intake to maintain weight, yes. There are some other things in there that sound confusing. And you can eat more than 3500 calories in a day and not gain fat depending on your TDEE and your average calorie intake across the week.

I'd personally not eat it as well because I think they're calorie dense little suckers for what they offer. But if I were going too keep eating them and didn't want to weigh, I'd just consistently choose 120 calories. By the way, has any one ever weighed a banana and had one come in over 120? I'm just curious.

Okay, across the week. Yeah it's a big difference. Why don't you try losing on 1500. If it doesn't work in a week or two go to 1400. First I'd see what the calculator on Scooby's says too.

OP, you mentioned cutting cardio and doing weights. You also mentioned not seeing results from what you were doing. Just wanted to chime in to say I saw the best results from minimizing cardio, and focusing on lifting and calories.

No. And if I didn't like nuts I definitely wouldn't force myself to eat them while trying to lose weight, as they are very calorie dense.

I use the number MFP gives me as maintenance as my TDEE. I adjust my calories from there. I work on a weekly average so I eat low during the week and in a surplus on the weekend. It averages to MFP maintenance.

MFP gives me my TDEE because I don't do cardio, therefore I don't really use the NEAT method anyway. I've always used the number it gives me for my activity level as my TDEE and gone from there. Are you trying to lose weight? Do you have other health goals? Start by logging your food and getting into a deficit. Add some fruit and vegetables if you are lacking.

I was on the road for 7 hours today. Protein bars, beef jerky, coffee and diet soda for me :) Relatively low calorie, high protein, and delicious.

I dunno. Diet soda helps me eat less. I eat like 500 calories worth of pretzels at work most days. I just know that if I do that...whoops, that's lunch. Because I'm not skipping dinner or dessert.
