This is a great idea for a thread! My Tuesday triumph is losing 7 inches over my body this week, and squeezing in the gym today even though I thought I had "no time" Those lost inches motivate me to want MORE! Goal is in sight!

Thanks for the info on foam rolling! I'll have to check it out further. Today was Workout B for me. Squats Warm Up - 2x5 @ 45lb. Working - 5x5 @ 65lb. - Banged these out pretty easily, so I feel ready to move up in weight on Thursday! Yay! OHP No warmup - I was in a rush to finish up before the gym daycare closed. 5x5 @ 50…

What is foam rolling?

I got mine from eBay. Just search zip zac gym towel and a bunch will come up. I love it!

Always so impressed by you ladies! Today was Workout A for me Squats Warm up 2x5 @ 45lb. Working 5x5 @ 65lb. I kept it there from last time and my form still wasn't great, but better than last time. I think 1 more round at this weight and I'll be ready to move up. Bench press Warm up 2x5 @ 45lb. Working 5x5 @ 55lb. I…

Do a search on the success stories board. There's a thread called "halp... heavy lifting has made me super bulky!" That's what convinced me to start lifting heavy. The results are amazing! I'm 3 weeks into strong lifts and have upped my calories and am losing faster than I was. I'm on my last 16 pounds and was finding them…

Hi everyone! I've enjoyed browsing the thread and am super jealous of all of you living in warm climates! I am Jen. I was born in Texas, but grew up and live in Delaware. I moved all over after I turned 18. I fact, when we buy our new house, it will be my 9th move in 12 years! I have been married to Anthony (Ant for short)…

Wow amyrebeccah! I'm impressed! Krokador, your logic makes sense, but I will leave it to the more experienced ladies to answer. I'm interested to see what the answers are. Today was Workout B for me. I got off on the wrong for at the gym today- dropped my water bottle in the toilet first thing! Gross! All the squat racks…

Thanks guys! I think I will just stick to the program as is for now. I don't want to hinder my progress by doing too much too soon. I will check out the sticky too!

Mom of three here! 10, 6, & 7 months. Just started strong lifts and am loving it so far! Feel free to add me

Checking in for week 1 and the beginning of week 2. My first workout didn't go as planned because of the disaster training session. Thankfully haven't seen that guy again! I didn't start on all the weights suggested in the PDF because I was worried about form and wanted to make sure I had everything down with relatively…

Shoot! Sorry I posted in january's thread

I "only" have three. 10, 6, & 7 months. The baby is by far the most challenging. He's not sleeping through the night yet and the childcare hours at the gym aren't that great with his schedule. I'm making it work though. Just like anything else you've gotta make it happen if it's important to you and not be too hard on…

Thank ALL of you for such a warm welcome to the group and so much support! I am blown away at how nice all of you are and I have slept on it and prayed about it and have a much better perspective on everything today. I told my husband what happened and he is going to make time in his schedule to go with me and help me out…

Question for you experienced ladies - he said it was very dangerous for me to attempt free weights without a spotter. I have to workout alone b/c hubby's schedule is crazy. Do I need to be worried or is it okay?
-
He is not the only trainer there. They have several. As far as I know, he's not the owner. I can't imagine the owner of a business thinking it's appropriate to show clients pictures of his girlfriend in her underwear. On second thought, her head wasn't even in the picture, so it may have just been a random pic he pulled…

You're welcome! Glad I could help :)

I think 1050 is probably too low to be sustainable. You will be less likely to stick with a plan if you're hungry or feeling deprived all the time and 1050 is very few calories.. I am 5'0, so 10 whole inches shorter than you. I eat 1270 per day and eat back most of my exercise calories. BMR = Basal Metabolic Rate (the…
-
I am only 1 inch taller than you and eat a net of 1270. I figured my requirements out as follows: First I calculated my BMR at my current weight using this calculator: http://www.exrx.net/Calculators/CalRequire.html Put in 24 hours resting. This answer is the absolute minimum you would need to stay at your weight if you…

Happy Friday, everyone! TGIF - we're almost there! I did Alpha Cardio today to finish out my week. So excited to do my measurements tomorrow and have a couple days off! I hope I've made good progress so far. I am noticing that the workouts don't seem AS hard as they did last round. They're certainly not easy, but I don't…

I did doubles today because it won't work for me to do them tomorrow! So pumped! Did Ab Intervals and Lower Focus. Cardio tomorrow and then enjoy the weekend! I can't help but weigh myself every day and today I am soooo excited!!! I'm down into the 130's for the first time in 2 years! I've lost 36 pounds since I had my son…

Thanks everyone! We don't have wholefoods and I'd never heard of trader joe's, so I didn't know they were organic meats. I will definitely start using the organic selections for my counts! Thanks again!

Sounds like everyone is doing their best and continuing to "push play" I know it sounds so cliche, but I have so much more energy and a better mood when I exercise. Today was TBC for me and I still hate it! It's so not my favorite. I finished it though I can't say I nailed it. I am modifying most of the jumps and the…

Hi! Everyone! Sorry I've been gone for so long! I hyper-extended my arm during my last round of T25 and it took a couple weeks to get better. At that point I was into Christmas activities with my kids and family and decided to put off FOCUS until the new year. I started up again this week. 3rd times a charm, right? So far…

We ran out of propane so it was COLD in here today and I skipped my workout. They refilled it at 5:00 this afternoon and it is warming up a bit now. I will likely do doubles tomorrow and Friday this week to catch up. No movement on the scale again! I am VERY frustrated with the whole thing. I don't know what's going on.…
-
Thanks for the suggestions guys! The arm still hurts today, so I guess I will be modifying more than I'd like. :grumble: I have not iced it because it's been SO cold here, I just can't bring myself to do it! I have been taking Ibuprophen. The ace bandage is a good idea just so I remember not to do too much. I'll…

T25 Alpha Day 5: Lower Focus & Cardio Did great today! Lower Focus was tough towards the end, but I Nailed It! Took about 10 minutes to catch my breath and then completed Cardio. I modified a little throughout, but did much better than Monday. Between the two workouts, I burned close to 600 calories! Thank goodness because…

Most of the videos are pretty easy to follow. No advanced choreography or anything. They are tough and you will be sweaty, but with the exception of Total Body Circuit, I hardly know 25 minutes has passed when it's over!
