I agree with what everyone has said about running shoes! Also when you are beginning to run, you may want to slow your pace down- you can run further when you aren't out of breathe and as you get good at that, you can then work on increasing your speed. Also, try running outside here and there, it breaks it up better- find…

ran 7 miles today for my long run and am feeling a runners high (first time running 7) whooo hoo, and not far left for my goal--- I actually will probably meet the goal this week!

Feel free to add me-- i started my journey well over 300 lbs :/ but i would love to help motivate and show you that change is possible =)
-
I use mine as an extra workout at times too-- I do the stepper while I watch tv. It makes me feel less sedentary when I am watching my favorite shows -- and i still do a workout on top of that

As you lose weight, you burn less calories, so you either need to workout a little more or eat a little less. It is possible. Don't give up and keep trying. It's about a mindset change, if you feel like you are depriving yourself or you aren't happy- I would think that you would be more of a 'dieter' than a lifestyle…

I usually don't-- and if I do its half a protein bar or string cheese-- but I think its individualized by your hunger.
-
I did-- I hated diet soda before doing all of this. When I started I didn't realize how many calories I drank a day--- in OJ, other juices, soda, gatorade, milk, etc. So I did start drinking it when I started because I wanted something other than water and I missed the carbonation of soda. I don't really feel like it's…

We don't get to pick where the fat is lost when we lose it, eventually it will all come off =) Be patient and stay with the process =)

I would assume that you aren't burning as many calories as the machine says-- if you are losing at a slower pace. Try to get back to eating your calorie goal consistently and really monitor are you eating anything that you aren't logging. Also, maybe trying to increase the number of minutes you work out and not eat back…

feel free to add me, a new runner and I have been blogging about my journey to a half marathon so it may be helpful! welcome =)

Thanks Ladies I appreciate the suggestions and will try them out! maybe it was just a fluke, but I will monitor it and try out the different things

My biggest are-- being cold all of the time, its quite annoying the cost of money i have spent on clothes and having to get rid of some clothes that i like being super critical of my old self at times-- looking back at pictures and being highly disgusted people telling me that i need to stop losing weight when i still have…

2 mile walk during lunch and 3 mile run after work and upping my total again yay!!
-
Congrats-- that feeling is contagious!!

t25 is a good start-- i have walked or jogged in hotels-- either in their gyms or in the hotel itself, people look at me weird, but oh well. But the biggest thing when you travel is to limit your calorie intake-- that is what is going to help you lose the weight. Not treating being on the road as splurge times. Healthy…

I really liked your suggestions-- I was going to hit some of those, but you did an excellent job and i learned some in the process too =)

On a lot of days I am in an office working-- I just take more bathroom breaks and i try to split up trips to the water cooler and the copy machine. I park further away when I go shopping and I don't take short cuts-- plus when i workout I get a ton of steps. Most days I average 14,000 or over
-
that is odd-- my running store is awesome, they took my last pair back with no questions asked and spent 45 minutes trying to find a pair that they thought worked good AND that i felt comfortable about-- sounds like they just want a sale maybe

Completed a 5 Mile Race today whoo hoo!!
-
I used this a lot of the beginning of my program and when I am on the treadmill that is the only way that I run. When I run outside now- I can run 5-6 miles without stopping if I keep a good pace and working myself up to more =) Just started running 8 weeks ago and doing amazing following a program similar!
-
I think its a good goal to have an it sounds like you are being realistic about it- feel free to add me, we have similar goals. I thought people were a little too quick to dismiss you! best of luck!

Getting there =)

I agree-- I would start with run/walk intervals! I am doing my first half on April 6th and started training 8 weeks ago. I absolutely hated running but I have grown to appreciate it! are you running on a treadmill or outside? i have found treadmills are freaking awful and i am not a fan of the cold weather-- but id take…
