Buy some winter clothes and run outside--- it is sooo much better and this is coming from someone who recently hated running and would never think about running outside. 7 weeks ago I was where you were, the thought of running for 1 minute sucked lol, but yesterday, I ran 6 miles outside without stopping

This happens to me after I have lost 20-30 lbs everytime. When talking to a doctor once, they said its because my body was comfortable where it is and fighting my changes. It will last a couple weeks and then I drop a bunch more lbs. Its really frustrating, but have faith in the process..

Challenge motivates me =) I didn't think I could do this and the more I change, the more I want to see whats possible. I am loving this journey =)

It was explained to me this way too: When you lose weight you lose primarily fat and some muscle (as long as you are doing it healthy) When you gain weight back, it comes back in all fat You do that multiple times and it makes it harder to lose the weight because you have less muscle more muscle burns more weight (and more…

The first couple days that you do this suck!! realize that you aren't alone and that it gets better. Once you get in a routine (like someone said above-- 21 times) it gets easier. You can do it!! plus morning workouts are the best because you start your day in an awesome way!!

awesome 6 mile run today in 12 degree weather =)

That's good to know. I signed up for it- i also signed up for a 10 mile race at the end of February. Scheduled a race run every month until the half Thanks tjfharo for the info-- I'll have to look those up!!

I like those ideas. Right now I have just been running at a 12 minute pace. Then I usually have a mile or two where I run 11 and then back to 12. This running stuff is all new to me, so I really appreciate the suggestions!

5 Miler next weekend 10 mile race in February 8.1 mile in March my first half marathon in June and then hopefully some others after that =)

thanks everyone =)

Thanks-- according to his plan I could do up to 10 on the weekend before the race, but i think I will stick to 8

The training program that I downloaded said run for an hour and 15 min or 5 miles....... I also email the coach for the group. I dont want to set myself up for failure at the half but I dont want to under prepare. Definitely would treat it as a training run and not a race. I am a slow runner lol

I think its about preference. If I work out in the morning, I will usually not eat anything or have something really small. When I go in the evening, I have already ate dinner.

You are going to get lots of different responses with this. I work with a nutritionist and I only eat 1300 calories and I work out a lot. and I have been doing wonderful with weight loss. You just need to find what works for you

I prelog most days-- and made revisions as needed. Some times I don't prelog, but those days are more difficult for me.

I think you are correct. Most of the time, I think people know the truth, but don't want to hear it and sometimes don't want advice from others.

with Dance aerobics it makes sense to me why your legs would be sore but not your head. Like the person above said-- water, stretching and potassium!
-
I agree with the others about the interval for the half-- you can do it =) good luck!

What are you doing for your workouts??
-
I did a post about this earlier. Everyone has barriers, the people who are successful figure out ways around those barriers. Do you have a workout video? Access to you tube? stairs at your living place? I hate working out when I am sick, but I have noticed that its more about getting the motivation to start than it is to…

My favorites are: string cheese nut and berry trail bars pop chips fat free cool whip

I should print this out and hang it all over my gym because right now it is packed with people like this =)
-
Guess just a difference of opinion. But everyone is different. Best of luck =)

I don't have kids, but some of my friends do. I offer to go spend time with their kids so they can get workouts in. It gets me some quality time with my sue-do nieces and nephews and they can try to get some workout in. Once its nice you can take fun stroller rides- we do that a lot as well. Or go to the mall just to walk…

5 down, only 995 to go =)

Encourage a friend to go with you, if you have a dog bring them, there are apps you can download, find a safe place to walk, etc. I would do this for other things as well-- not just working outside. I am tired, I can't go to the gym today. It's my birthday, so that means I can eat whatever I want. I am broke, so I can't…

You said that you are doing the same thing you did before but unfortunately as we lose weight, we need to do more to lose more weight. I would increase your cardio a bit and decrease your calories a bit. You said that you have tried everything, but maybe trying one thing and sticking to it for a bit. It can get…

The things that helped me the most: *Making small changes over time, so I never felt 'deprived' *Paying attention to everything I eat and aware of calories *Stopped going to fast food and stopped eating a lot of fried food *Became very active

5 down-- 70 to go =)
