i agree planning ahead works so well. I pack my lunch from the night before and log it in as I'm going to work. So i'm less likely to treat myself to something extra or shy away from eating what i packed since i've logged it in. I've never used a sweat band. I used to just wrap my hair and put a scarf on or put my hair in a high bun.

My motivation is the fact that i hate how much bigger i've gotten over the years and complaining and fad diets have not helped. So i am really at the point that i made a conscious decision to change. Now i enjoy sweating and thinking about the improved me that i will soon see.
