Dont misunderstand - I drank at least 3 double martinis every night...

I know, right? We were in one of the Adult Only restaurants on the Disney Fantasy. I asked the waiter which was better between two of the entrees. His response "they are both great. Let me bring both for you and you can decide which is better yourself". So that night I have 2 desserts and 2 entrees. And an app and soup and…

One evening we both ordered the chocolate souffle and the waiter said "those are great, but here - let me bring you a panna cotta too. Its really good". Then held a gun to our heads until we ate it. :-D That was a good night...

Why would anyone be uncomfortable? You dont have anything they cant see in a mirror and vice versa.

As a follow up... I took my cruise, didnt log a thing (while I was gone and just quick added calories when I got back), I ate 3 full meals a day with desserts (maybe 2...), drank plenty and had a great time. I was limited in my physical activity due to a torn rotator cuff. 3 days after returning (this morning) I am back at…

I keep track of what fitbit tells me I burn and average it out over a month and use that as my TDEE. Then I use the TDEE -20% method. I personally dont like having calories added from fitbit. I prelog my day and that just screws everything up.

You've lost 15 pounds and you feel better and are looking for advice? Throw your scale away. The scale is your problem, not your weight loss. :)
-
Totally see a difference... in the before picture your underwear dont cover your butt and in the after they do.
-
Ignorance is bliss, but knowledge is power. Scales are just a tool and your weight is just a number. The only thing the scale will tell you is if you are progressing and how fast. Is it important? Depends. You can get a similar effect with a tape measure, a camera or a mirror. Or just go by how you feel. You dont have to…

I tried Striiv but it ate through my battery in less than half a day.

I am 6', 223 lbs male and my daily caloric intake is 2600 for a 1lb/week loss. It takes a lot of energy to move us larger folk...

Keep in mind, probably 5 pounds of that is water weight.

I would suggest adding some exercise. It has 2 benefits... first, you get to eat more and still lose weight. Second, you will FEEL a lot better. You dont have to get into super-exercise mode... maybe half an hour a day, 2 or 3 days a week to start. Its not much, but it makes a difference. Have you calculated your TDEE?

This.

Used to love chest (pressing) but fell in love with squats.
-
If you are confident of your measures, I would eat more. < 1000 isnt healthy in the long term. Try to get as close to your MFP number as you can.

I tried to eat a virgin once but all I gained was wait. <pause...>

Awesome. Oh, and btw... awesome that you are lifting! Kill it, lady!

Not sad at all. Im a 6' guy and I started with the bar for OHP. ANd no - you dont add weight each set. You have your weight for the day and you do that each set. So Bar, Bar, Bar, Bar, Bar and if you make all 25 reps, you add 5 pounds next time.
-
Not really sure I understand the question. You do warmup sets with minimal weight, then work your weight for the day through all 5 sets. Next time you hit that exercise (every other workout except for squats) you add more weight. ETA: so if your bench press weight is 60 pounds that day, you do a few sets of warm ups with…

Ah, I fondly remember easy days like this one. Range days were always chill. Everyone had time to eat lunch and if you qualified the first time, there usually was time for some BS time with the boys.

Just to chime in as a 10 year veteran of the US Army. As a 6' tall male, I ate roughly 5000 calories a day and maintained my weight at 160 lbs. A single MRE has close to 2500 calories in it. I find the principals of this diet laughable and the name bordering on disrespectful. Airborne, all the way!
