Turkey meatballs using Heinz chili sauce (1 jar) and low sugar grape jelly(1 small to medium jar depending on amt of meatballs)! Everyone always wants me to make them and they have no clue they are eating turkey let alone low sugar/calorie/fat meatballs!

I have been doing barre exercises and OMG, I can feel my thighs and buttocks way more doing that rather than boring squats. And I can do it using a chair or counter top- I can't wait to see the results, its been many years since I saw my ballet legs and butt! lol. Heres the quick 15 minutes I do every morning before work-…

Yes, DNA testing is the "new thing" apparently, they also test you for sensitivities to some drugs a person that is overweight may be put on to discern if they will have high probability to adverse reactions. Apparently I can't ever be put on 2 cholesterol meds because my metabolism will eat up the active ingredient and…

All forms of fake sugars (according to most recent studies) make your body believe it is still getting sugar and thus reacts the same as you have ingested raw sugar (which makes it worse for diabetics and people trying to lose weight). The one thing I have had to do is quit sugar almost all together which is super hard but…

According to my nutritionist you can fluctuate 3 lbs a day, it depends on many factors such as salt intake, carb intake, exercise. I go up and down unless I make a very deliberate point to focus on consistenecy which she says is key to keep that number heading down. She is right too, if I put one pasta or bread in my…

Wow, thank you all so much for your responses. I am going to listen to my 6th sense and your advice which all seem to agree- listen to the nutritionist! I feel the doctor means well, and because her body has responded to the 1200 calorie quick start using weight watchers worked for her it should be one size fits all or…

I saw a nutritionist today and found out im on a strict high protein lower carb diet and total calories per day 1300. Protein is so hard to get! The amount of meat I have to eat is so nasty- I prefer veggies but I suffer with PCOS and insulin resistance, so along with the meat I now have been asked to increase my Metformin…

Stretch and ice/heat until your body adjusts- I learned this the hard way. Also, make sure your drinking tons of water to help get that lactic acid out from the muscles that get trapped when working out. Hope this helps!

I never used to, until I was hospitalized and almost died 9 years back from it. Haven't had the flu since I get the shot every year; while I am not a huge fan,I do believe science is right on this one.

JoRocka, for people like myself with syndrome X (insulin resistance but not diabetic) sugar is like throwing gasoline on an already roaring problem; even in small amounts. It takes my body much more effort to break it down and it usually gets stored straight into fat cells. It's horrible :(

Yup, I got hold of some of them and it turns out the 2 weeks I was so sick...Chobani was the only thing that was new to my diet- well, because I was trying to eat healthier and add yogurt; what luck I have.

Doc just increased my dose a few weeks ago of Metformin, and not to be too personal here but omg my period won't stop and I am in so much gastric distress I can't exercise! Anyone else have this type of issue going on with increasing dose? Also, only 1 lb lost in a month!

And women wonder why we get the treatment we do... disgusting! Too bad people doing great things don't get this much attention, but it goes to show the mindset of Americans anymore.

I have looked into it, I may try it if nothing really budges on this new formula for eating my dietician has prescribed. She told me to give it 6 weeks...we shall see. Thanks!

Most awesomest pic evah!

Special K just came out with these ready to go in a few flavors- they are really good! Wish I could actually eat them more often but alas my doc says PCOS makes me unable to eat even quinoa regularly :(
-
As my post states my thyroid is fine, and prior to using this site I used the YMCA fitness tracker which is similar but the doc told me that here the calorie and foods are much more close to real numbers that's why I am here. I have a personal trainer, I have a dietician and I measure my food...it's a mystery!
-
I'm on Metformin yes and it helped with the first 25lbs- the last 75 only budge maybe 2 lbs a month if i'm lucky :/
-
Erm, no- I measure everything. Thanks for being an *kitten* though.

The docs put me on Metformin which helped me lose my first 25 lbs but I've been stuck here ever since with 75 left to go. I too crave the sugars/ pasta/bread all the time but I fight back with protein shakes. I have not liked any of the alt methods for pasta like using squash or even using spinach pastas- they just are…

I used to eat cereal...this week I did what my dietician instructed and started eating high protein 400 calorie breakfast and I've lost 2 lbs. So maybe there is some truth to it. I like the Jimmy Dean egg white breakfast with Canadian bacon and cheese and pair it with chocolate soy drink and some fruit. I'm not hungry…

Soda, unless a special occasion like the need to pair it with Jack...I was drinking at least a 6 pack of Coke a day!
