Just insanely great. I'm happy dancing on your behalf. Well. Done!!!

The closer you are to your ideal weight, the harder it is to lose (but I bet you already know that). :) Is it possible you're already where you should be weight-wise? How tall are you?

I still have a ways to go, and my goal is currently set to lose 2 lbs. a week. 1200 (MFP's recommendation) left me hungry, so I futzed around with my settings some and am at 1400 per day right now. Seems to be working just fine for the time being.

oh, heck yeah! nice work. you win (and on so many levels!) :)

oh, sure ... i get it. i used to LIVE on fast food. i'm pretty sure my car could have driven to several places all by itself, just because it had been to them so many times before. :) i'm happy to report that although i still patronize fast food spots, the choices i make now are way, way different. not sure if you're in…

Insanely great! Rock on. :)

a lot of mfp folks call it "onederland". :) congrats! can't wait to join you there.

Good for you! Your attitude is insanely great. :) Forward we go!

No sweat. The weekend's over, and your attitude is spot on. Good for you for logging -- that's not always easy when you've strayed a bit. But accountability is the name of the game, and it sounds to me like your head's in the right place. :) I'm convinced discipline gets easier with practice. Remember how you feel today…

Perfect. I've had a few epiphanies like that, too ... just takes you to a whole new place. A really, really GREAT new place. :) Good for you. Forward we go!

What's made the difference for me in terms of inches is walking. Just walking. First walk I took about seven months ago lasted maybe 20 minutes and I was TOTALLY whipped when I was done. My next walk (tomorrow or Tuesday) will be SIX MILES. :) I don't walk every day ... most weeks just two or three times. The key is, I've…

Good for you! And just think: three minutes is just around the corner. Then four ... then five ... and soon there will be no stopping you. You got this! :)

Fruit ... oatmeal ... and yeah, definitely egg white stuff. have fun!

Good for you! Great attitude; insanely great results. I'm just shy of my halfway goal ... can't wait to join you in hafwayland. :)

Come on, Shell, stay the course. There will always be idiots out there ... you can't control what they say. They're not worth your time or energy, and they don't deserve even a thought from you. Put yesterday behind you and let's move on. Or like babydull suggested, turn your frustration into motivation. Seriously: I…

MFP has done an insanely great job of opening my eyes to what's really in what I've been eating. The biggest surprise to me hasn't been calories, but sodium. Yeesh! Track faithfully ... do all the right stuff (and avoid the wrong stuff) ... and you'll get there. No hoping, wishing, or luck needed. It's all about doing ...…

Seven pounds in a month is healthy and sustainable. Twice that -- or more -- isn't, at least not for most folks. Just my $.02, but at the end of the day, this isn't a competition against others, to see who can lose more weight faster. It's all about strength of will and discipline, changing bad old habits into new good…

Good for you! And by good, I mean insanely great. :) Well done!

Brilliant post ... I hope every single newbie reads it. Two or three times. :) Good for you!

I've a 32gb iPad2 3G and i love it. I, too, take mine when I travel in lieu of my old Dell laptop which weighs approx. 143 pounds. :) That being said, I have yet to read a book on it, though I like to grab TED presentations and watch those. For me, it was all about flexibility. If all you really want to do is read, then a…

Way to use your power for good. :)

Good for you! That's an insanely great NSV, if you ask me. You win (and on so many levels). :)

Hmm. Seems like keeping them around in case you fail allows failure to be an option. Is it?

FABULOUS success story. Good for you! :)

Well, good news is, you recognize stress is an issue, and you know what causes it. So ... sounds like you need to find another way to burn it off. How 'bout taking yourself off for a walk instead? You can likely burn a fair number of calories in a relatively short time, if you kick it on your pace or find some stairs.…

^^This^^ Heck, just WALKING in water is a great workout, and it takes stress off joints and your back. Want to make your heart beat faster? Just walk faster when you're in the pool (or try to, anyway.) :) Go, you!

Good for you!! I nominate you as today's "See What Happens When you Stay the Course?" girl. :)
