Start at a pace where you can hold a conversation probably around 110 - 120 BPM on your HRM. I struggled going to fast to quick and then got a HRM and by setting the alarms at 70-75% of my max HR I solved the problem. Your max HR is approx 220 - Age so 172bpm, and 75% is 129bpm.

Like all exercise equipment people buy these and rarely use them so bargains can be found second hand in local for sale adverts or on Ebay, I purchased several machines Exercise Bike, Elliptical and Rower all top spec and Hardly or never used for under £200 in total.

Your HRM is likely to be most accurate but I believe the FT4 gives you a gross calorie burn, including calories you would have burnt doing nothing convert here http://www.shapesense.com/fitness-exercise/calculators/net-versus-gross-calorie-burn-conversion-calculator.aspx and you will be about right. Why I still use my old…

If you're serious about losing weight then a few minutes to log is a small price to pay, if not just carry on as you are!
-
Really Cool! pardon the pun.

I love bread and for the last few years I have made my own with a machine it takes literally two minutes effort, it was not the bread that made me sick but the additives that are added to keep it fresh etc. I eat it warm with butter and sometimes cheese but stick within my limits so it never a problem.

Just increased my calories from 1200 to 1490, doing a little exercise I have never gone hungry and never eat above half my exercise calories so you should not be having a problem if you are training hard. If I was in the situation you describe I would eat what I wanted and burn the calories plus 50% with a little cardio.

Well done you are looking great!

I use scales and weigh everything one of the biggest helps to me at the start was reading this http://www.acaloriecounter.com/blog/why-am-i-not-losing-weight/ It has all you need to know and if you log accurately and are honest with yourself the weight will come off, I have lost consistently at a rate of 1.2kg per week…

Good going keep it up!

Why even bother logging a bit of shopping even sedentary people have to shop, you will soon know how many pounds you are down in your January bank statement!
-
HRM is a Heart Rate Monitor by taking avg heart rate and your details you can fairly accurately calculate calories.
-
I tend to sweat it out, but as women don't sweat they either perspire or glow, you could try a good workout and Glow buckets! lol

I would invest in scales (rather than a dietician) and weigh and log accurately, we all know what the healthy options are and we all know what we like to, or can eat. To lose weight all you need to do is follow MFP and be honest with yourself, its easier to eat smaller amounts of what you normally eat than to completely…

1) My diet was the first thing I changed, limited by illness just portion sizes. 2) Hardest change was to get moving more, so brought some good quality second hand exercise equipment (rowing machine, cross trainer, exercise bike for far less than 6 months gym membership). 3) Start weight 31 Jan 2013 was 22st or 308lbs. 4)…

I had had the colostomy reversal beforehand but it would not have been a problem, depending on where the colostomy is placed I cannot see it preventing anyone rowing.

Down 102 lbs since 31 Jan 2013, target another 23 lbs by 31 Jan 2014

Put the 25lb lost weight in a back pack and carry it around for a while maybe do a serious workout with it on and remind yourself how much better it feels when it came off, it might remind you why you are doing this!

I have little trouble staying motivated but to remind me the other day I loaded a backpack with 99lbs, the weight I had lost to date and did 10k on the elliptical. I was totally exhausted and realising that this was normal earlier this year I am more determined than ever to reach my goal! I also pop £5 into the pot for…

Eat less and move more, I did not cut out any particular foods but adjusted portions and reversed steroid induced type 2 diabetes.

Short term low dose should not be a problem unless they give you an increased appetite but you can control that!
-
No sorry not for me, I look silly in a bra!
-
There are no super foods to expedite things to do that you need to move more, up the exercise and add calories burnt to your deficit, unfortunately there is no magic food or pill its down to you effort in results out!

If they are off your nose will tell you, otherwise ensure they are cooked properly and they will be fine!
