The peanut butter chocolate chip one is SO GOOD! I'll echo what someone else said - buy one and try it. I've found that everyone likes different flavors, so you just have to find the ones you like :).

Geez, it's like the mere mention of "trigger foods" sends us all over the edge. I didn't post my trigger foods yesterday, but maybe I should have, because last night I went to a bar to watch the Tigers game, and ended up getting fish and chips. I ate way more than I should have, and felt sick afterward. My trigger foods…

That's a good idea. I actually just heard about a good tailor today when I was trying to find a place to get measured. I think it would be a really good idea, though, to take some of my work pants in that just look silly now because they're too big and see how they turn out. Thanks!

Trust me, I'm kind of irritated that I have to tell her 7 months in advance what size I want to wear... I think it's a little ridiculous, but she actually wanted it a week or two ago, so I'm technically late. :noway: Thanks for the advice. I went and got measured today, and I'm a little worried because using the rule of…

Hey everyone, I need some advice. I'm going to be in my friend's wedding in May, and she's been bugging me for a while to get measured for my bridesmaid dress so she can order them all together. I'm gonna go get measured today because I don't want to make her wait any longer, but what would you all do in this situation? I…

I was back on days this week, and it shows in my numbers. I get a TON of walking done at work! I wish I had a pedometer because I'd be interested to know just how much. It helps that the doctor with whom I was working this past week refuses to take elevators, so we were walking up and down stairs all the time. SW: 135.0…

The daily logging challenge is exactly what I need right now. I'm back on track and eating healthily. I thought I'd share a recipe with you that I made up last night... Turkey burgers with feta and spinach lean ground turkey breast (I used a 1.25 lb package) 1/2 cup feta cheese (I used Athenos tomato & basil flavor) 1/2…

I really let myself go this week, and it's reflected on the scale. My schedule has been crazy, and I haven't been grocery shopping in quite some time. Then I was working nights and for some reason decided it was OK to eat the chicken fingers/grilled cheese/fries/whatever that was available at that time of night as a…

Saving this thread for later :)

Sorry I haven't been around much this past week. I just started a new rotation and it's crazy busy. It's stressing me out a lot too, unfortunately. However, the hospital where I'm working is HUGE, and I bet I'm walking several miles every day just going from one part of a the hospital to another. I guess it's been good for…

Weigh-in time: SW: 135.0 Week 1: 136.5 Week 2: 134.0 GW: 129 Very happy with that, and not expecting it at all. My scale showed two different weights this morning, so I went with the average. My schedule is a little crazy this week, so I don't know how much I'm going to be able to check in with you guys, but I will…

At the beginning of the summer I wasn't working, and I was exercising close to 6 days a week. That's definitely not sustainable for me. I think I'm aiming for closer to 3-4 days a week now - I'm not hitting even that most weeks, but I think it will be good for weight loss and maintenance. When I was doing really well with…

Congrats! As a recent med school graduate, I can tell you that the student affairs people are some of the best resources I had. :) Additionally, I noticed a HUGE (positive) difference in weight loss when I started working because I was much busier during the day, and one of the best ways to burn calories is to stand…

This is really common any time you start a new strength training routine. It's not necessarily that you've gained muscle, but that your muscles are sore and swollen (retaining water). It'll go away after a little while, but in the mean time, great job on the inches lost!

One breakfast that I like is a whole wheat English muffin with peanut or almond butter, and some Greek yogurt. I figure if you have time for the bagel and cream cheese, you can do the English muffin with peanut butter. Yogurt can easily be taken to work and eaten there. Depending on the type of yogurt, this usually comes…

Tell me about it! I went to a sports bar to watch college football today, and I got a turkey wrap... I knew it wasn't going to be "healthy," but I was SHOCKED when I got home and realized that it was basically all my calories for the day. I guess I'm just going to have to take a hit today, but I was really disappointed…

I do two sets of 15 reps for most of the exercises, but I have no idea what the differences are between the number of sets and reps. Obviously, you could do however many you wanted. Anyway, here are my ab exercises. I've included some links for pictures/explanations in case you don't know what they are. Routine #1 30…

I got my two servings of vegetables in today. This is something I'd really like to improve. I know I should be eating vegetables, but I'm just not creative enough with how to prepare them... I also wanted to say that a goal of mine for this challenge is to follow the weekly challenges more closely. I don't know if I did…

This is very similar to the routine a trainer at my gym set up for me. I do it at the gym, so I do incorporate a few machines, but it's mostly dumbbell and body weight stuff. I'm really impressed that you came up with this on your own! I have two different total-body routines (to keep things interesting) and my goal is to…

Ok, here goes: SW: 135.0 Week 1: 136.5 GW: 129 I was expecting the damage to be much worse. It's amazing how eating like this changes the way I feel, though. I used to eat like that all the time - eating until I was stuffed, and eating out or carrying in almost every meal. I didn't notice how good I felt eating proper…

Hi everyone. I'm back from vacation. It was GREAT to see my family, so I don't regret that at all, but my eating habits were horrible. It was nine days of eating out and carrying in, and there just weren't healthy food options. I'm really nervous about what the scale will show tomorrow.... I guess it is what it is, but I…

I am definitely in for this challenge!! If you don't have enough people yet, I could take a challenge week toward the end. I don't have my scale right now, but I'm going to go with my last weigh-in: SW: 155 CW: 135 GW: 129 by the end of this challenge I'm aiming kind of low, but I think it's getting harder for me to lose…

Most women I know have initially gained weight when starting the pill, but it stops after a while. I've been on the pill the entire time I've been on MFP, and I've lost 20 lbs. It certainly doesn't stop you from losing weight, and I don't even think it makes things harder. I would look into other factors preventing you…

Definitey wash it with soap and water. You can even throw it in the washing machine (but not the dryer) every week or two. If you don't wash it, the salt from your sweat will build up in the sensors and it won't work as well. Personally, I wash the sensor portions with soap and water after every workout, and try to throw…

If you're taking a vitamin with iron and/or calcium in it, that can cause constipation too. My best advice would just be to make sure you're getting enough fiber in your diet - fruits and veggies, and if that doesn't change anything, you can try taking something like benefiber to try to move things along.

Alright, I explored this a little more. If you go to hulu.com, and scroll to the bottom and click "genres" then pick "health and wellness," there are variety of options. The easiest way I found was after selecting health and wellness, clicking the "videos" tab, and then searching for whatever you're looking for (cardio…

There are some free workout DVDs on hulu.com. I haven't done them personally, so I don't know if there are strength/weight training ones, but I would assume there's a variety.

Try looking at the actual package that you purchased. It's possible that whatever entry you used was for something pre-cooked or from a restaurant. I would think that raw poultry that you cook at home would have hardly any sodium in it....

It's already figured into your daily calorie goal. If you have a more active job, you'll have a higher calorie goal.
