Depends on whether or not I can deal with "cold" or "sweet" first thing in the morning, which is not often, so I usually go for hot and savory. But there are lots of possibilities: oatmeal with one of the following:* 1/2 oz cheddar cheese * 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast (and squirt of mustard) * 2 Tbsp powdered peanut butter &…

that works for me too -- air popped, a little salt, and I can crunch a whole bowl for not too many calories. I get the jar of popcorn and measure out a 1/4 cup, put it in a brown paper lunch bag, fold over the top twice, and then microwave it for about 2 minutes on high. No oil needed! But it's important to keep an eye on…

You might also ask the hotel concierge about safe and scenic walking trails/routes in the area. But it sounds like you're very up on the pre-planning :-)

Add this to the list: Snobby Joes, from the Post Punk Kitchen http://www.theppk.com/2009/11/snobby-joes/ It only seems like a lot of chili powder -- the "bite" actually comes from the mustard (if you use a good mustard, like Coleman's).

yes. diet clear sodas best for lemon/vanilla cakes, diet colas for chocolate, and I once had a really good diet root beer/spice cake!

agree and the only reason you shouldn't eat right before you go to sleep is because that is an excellent way to give yourself heartburn -- digesting and lying supine do not mix well.
