What you eat does matter for your general health. If all you ever ate is 1400 calories of Snickers, you're gonna have a bad time! :) How much you eat matters more for your weight (which also affects your health, of course).

Stick with it. As you continue to eat healthy, you'll find your tastebuds start to change and you'll start to crave healthy food and water. Just drink water when you're thirsty. If you don't feel thirsty, then don't worry about it too much. Maybe just sip on some throughout the day.

Awesome!

Nexus is a solid choice. The NOOK HD is also nice. And so is Galaxy Tab. I'd say these are three of your best bets for the non-iPad tablets.

Great job man.

Right, you just pushed too hard. Combine that with the fact that you just started exercising again + you only had 500 calories for breakfast and lunch total = your body is not having a good time. I'd suggest easing into things a bit slower. I work with a fitness company and for the clients we usually recommend just…

Experiment. Try upping your daily calories by 150-200 for two weeks and see what happens. You can also try new workouts, such as weightlifting if you aren't already doing that.

Jillian includes a sample diet with her program. A good rule of thumb for each meal is: 1/4 of your plate protein, 1/4th healthy carb, and 2/4th vegetables. I personally know people who've lost 10 pounds their first month with 30 day shred as their only form of exercise. And there's ton of people here who have done the…

I found this for free: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPwgehmIa7M I found this one that you can rent 30 days for $2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uIO_03BYb4 You can also buy it for $7.99 on Amazon. Very cheap for a great program.

For logging, my fiancee added a custom entry. With her heart-rate monitor, it shows she burns around 100 calories every 10 minutes. So each workout is around 300 calories. Results may vary but if you don't have a heartrate monitor, you can use that as an estimate. I've seen many other people say it was around 250 for them.

In general they should not interfere with each other, but if both are using Bluetooth technology, it is possible to have some interference. It should be very uncommon though. Think of all the bluetooth devices in crowded public places and they don't interfere with each other.

Or train like Rocky Balboa... attach a tire to your body and go run through the snow. :)

Here's a helpful article about getting into weight training as a woman: http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2011/07/21/meet-staci-your-new-powerlifting-super-hero/ You don't need much. A bench and a good set of dumbbells is all you need to get started and make a lot of progress at home. You don't need machines, especially not…

HRM is the most accurate way. Polar makes good models.

This one should fit.

Hey JJ, awesome progress. It's definitely doable for you to drop another 14 pounds in four weeks at the rate you seem to be going, but I'm not so sure about 7% body fat in four weeks. Here's a photo of body fat percentages: http://cdn.builtlean.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/body-fat-percentage-men.jpg You look to be…

I like Fitocracy.

@redsoxmj, you're supposed to do it every day but if you need a break for a day, then take it! Nothing wrong with that. Just don't go too easy on yourself. :)

It's very good, lots of people on MFP have had great results with it (when combined with eating properly). It's not quite as hard as something like P90X or Insanity, but I think that's a good thing for many. It's still challenging.

Here's exactly what you're looking for. http://scoobysworkshop.com/intermediate-workout-plan/ Dumbbells. 3 workouts. Good to go. Body for Life's exercise plan is also good.

Yo! I had a similar issue. I never feel thirsty. Here's what worked for me: 1. Buy a nice refillable water bottle. 2. If you have a smartphone, download a timer app that will remind you every 90 minutes or so to drink a cup of water. By the end of the day, you'll have a good 8-10 cups in you.

I've been doing this with my roommate. It's definitely a lot more motivating to do it with someone else at the same time. The pain just screams at you to quit! Whenever I finish a workout I feel very proud. We just completed week 2.

Good job on putting her in her place. Funny story.

Nice! You can see the difference for sure.
