  • Instant with peanut butter and raisins. Refrigerator with bananas, blueberries and coconut milk. Stovetop with bananas and pecans.
  • I found a c210k app and just picked up on the week after the 30 minute run. Did my first day of it this morning! The 'ding' got covered up by music 2x but I know my route well enough now that I caught it both times. After I finish c210k, I plan on starting over for speed :-) Oh best part was there was one(only one) free…
  • On a plus hearing about this sandwich is enough to count as a meal! I'm no longer hungry;-)
  • Stupid summer break! Sterling's losing it too! It seems like he is just seeing how far he can go before he breaks mom. I'm in a similar situation with my husband always at work. He does 2-100 hr work weeks and then 6 days off, so summer is all me all the time. time to try and find something new? Ds and I went shopping and…
  • I got one that includes the 5K and then skipped to the spot I'm at, so I'm doing week 9 of 14 :-)
  • Thanks all! I decided I'm not ready to be done yet so I found a 10k app. 6 more weeks for me :-)
  • Why I get it? Protein Which? Fage, 0% fat plain. Then I mix in my own honey and berries :-) or pineapple chobani cuz' it's amazing!
  • Leave calories for an evening snack. I do every day, it helps alot. I can cut 60 calories in the morning to save for a pudding cup. To add more fruits and veggies, look for a local fruit/veggie coop. I use bountiful baskets.
  • my first thought was "if you inhale it, easy!" But unless you are throwing back gallons of water in a short period you'll be fine! You'll get sick of trips to the restroom and therefore slow down drinking before you drink to the point of making yourself sick.…
  • A wise person told me you should be able to sing along with your music for 2 lines. If you can't do that you're going too fast and if you can go more then you are going too slow. I fine its a great check because you can do it every song or so to make sure your still at the right pace! Good luck!
  • Sounds like running. For me it stopped hurting the 2 week of running. Nothing prepares your body completely for running. Just have to give it time. Good luck!
  • Stretch more. I noticed I need to stretch more with the longer runs. I didn't stretch much on my last run and paid for it with sore muscles. Good luck!!
  • GREAT JOB!!

  • W5D3 is a mental challenge! Do it, you'll be fine! Too many people post about dreading it, I was excited for it. I've been running the full 30 mins since W7D2 so I decided to focus on speed. I think that's the way to do it. Get the time and then worry about pace! Pedometer and a watch for distance/time?
  • Sprint does sound good especially since I have no idea how transitions work. I'm not competitive so I have no problem falling to the back of the pack I just want to do one :-)
  • I was doing some reading and I think sprint is a good way to start but then I'm doing the swim and run now so maybe I should go for the Olympic since I have lots of time to train because I won't do one until next year. I have no idea how far I bike right now but I pull my son(60lbs plus bike) so I imagine I can go pretty…
  • Find a friend that's trying to lose weight that's a size or 2 smaller than you and encourage them to lose ;-) But of course then you could have my problem, I've shrunk faster than her. And to top it off I have an autistic son that pulls on loose fabric so I can't wear clothes too big for too long. Secondhand doesn't work…
  • Rollerblade/skate!
  • Chicken wings. So I haven't had any in 8 months. No opening that door. My husband's is Oreos, but the kids and I have no trouble sticking to a portion size and eating the package slowly but if he sees them they'll be gone before the kids can get a 2nd serving, so now they are hidden and we eat them with our afterschool…
  • You ARE awesome!! Keep it up! I say go for it and it you don't have a 5k scheduled than you can take your time repeating weeks and taking an extra day off if your body says too. Or alternate in some just plain walking days could be helpful. I found it helpful to schedule a 5k with friends out a ways so that I could take my…
  • Congrats!! I finish week 7 tonight, and what you said was true for me 6 weeks ago. Now I can run for 28 minutes straight! It's crazy! Like you said, trust the program and go with it, you'll be running sooner than you realize!!
  • I've lost over 50 lbs and I see it in my clothes size, measurements, stamina and side by side before and after pictures and other people see it when they look at me. As for the mirror....Those damn things are worse than the scale, I still don't see it!
  • Yumm...Stuffed zucchini for dinner tonight and those zucchini sticks will be on the menu soon!!
  • Yum! Thanks for all the recipes so far!! It all sounds so delicious! Now I'm excited to see how many zucchini this plant can produce!!
  • Write it in her IEP. If you put in that, that she needs to be on 1-on-1 then the school district has to honor it unless you waive it. I just waived S's because we switched him to a full-time(no mainstreaming) specialized class room of all nonverbal autistic kids. A whole room full of him. Anyway the way they run the class…
  • Great job everyone!! I love it keep'um coming!! Last night I ran in the rain! Previously I'd've never run and rain would've been an excuse not to run. Last night I ran 22 minutes in a drizzle and then decided to run 3 more minutes because I was still feeling so good!
  • I refuse to talk to my SIL for this reason! I just don't get people sometimes! We have enough going on without dealing with them. One would think with all the autism awareness stuff that people would understand and for the most part people seem to it just takes one bad apple to spoil it all for us. I'm one to speak my…
  • I agree! W5D3 is a mental challenge more than a physical one! By the time you get there your body can handle it even though you don't think it can...it's getting over that were the challenge comes in. I did it and felt great afterward! I say push yourself to do it but if you need to take a walk in the middle somewhere you…
