I had an amazing smoked salmon and mascarpone pizza once from a local Italian. If you're DIYing, then you should put the smoked salmon on after the pizza has cooked, cos smoked salmon goes icky otherwise. Ordinary salmon though ... I agree with the olive oil/oven baked thing. One recipe I really like is salmon risotto -…

You know what? I might just do this next week ...!

There are some good ones here from last week - http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1180061-healthy-filling-lunch-ideas :)

I think some people worry that if they say they're losing weight to look better, people will judge them. They'll think that they are vain, or superficial, or whatever (people aren't actually as nasty as we fear!) Also, one thing I've come across is people saying "but you look amazing as you are". Pointing out to them that…

Oh and I almost forgot! My fav. Chinese-y style lunch is noodles, quorn chicken pieces, peas and soy sauce/veggie stock/Chinese five spice. Very very quick and easy to make - about three minutes!
-
I like soups and stews too. I make 'em in batches and freeze individual portions - potatoes in a soup or stew keep you full but without raising your calorie count too much! Are you in the UK? If you are, I love Warburton's sandwich thins - 100 calories per thin. Great way to have bread for a sandwich without too much…

You look really amazing. My stomach is my most annoying area as well - if I get to where you are I will be SO happy! Now you just have to wait for the sun to come out ... !

Salted popcorn! Homemade, or look at the calories on bought varieties. My local shop does one that is 200kcals for a huge share bag :) nomnomnom

<< Speaking as someone who ate that pizza and stayed under 1200 net (because I'd been walking in the countryside)
-
Ok. Just skimmed through some of the 'you are crazy' posts. Guys, this is MFP. We're talking about 1200 NET. NET, yeah? That means if you sit on your *kitten* all day you only get to eat 1200 calories, but if you move - even a walk to the shops, you eat more. There is nothing crazy about that.
-
This. 1200 works for me - but I never actually only eat 1200. I exercise and eat them back. When I first started I was extremely sedentary, working from home and hardly moving at all. I needed an 'eating back' system to convince myself that getting up off my *kitten* was worth it. Now I hula hoop every day :)

My bf and I take it in turns to cook - I have a cooking week, then he does. He tries his best to make his weeks relatively healthy, and he's getting better at it, but calorie counting is sooo much easier when it's me doing the cooking! Either way, I eat a very small breakfast and lunch, and save dinner as my main big meal…

Oh my word. That sounds pretty immense ...

So many delicious ideas! It's odd that coleslaw never occurred to me - my brain must be elsewhere. Will definitely try frying with bacon, and will also definitely try the Chinese-y frying with pork (variations on a theme!). Ohhh, yum! I'm looking forward to this. Might buy some more while it's on offer ...

I've been continuing to drink quite a bit regularly with my friends and I'm losing. I exercise like crazy on days I'm going out and then take the booze out of my exercise calories. And then when I run out of calories I stop. Most of the time ;) It's completely doable! You just need to build space for it by exercising…

"Will hula hoop for beer" "Will not purge for ANYTHING"
-
I hula hoop for my main cardio workout - maybe try that! If you get yourself a proper lightweight trick hoop, you can switch between waist hooping for calorie burn and trick hooping for fun (lots of videos on youtube of people demonstrating tricks). This is the only "workout" I've managed to stick with, because I find…

Well said!

But, looky! If the other doctors were offended, they did a very good job of turning it into comedy! ^^ One UK link, and one US link. I think you'd enjoy this a lot, based on your post!
-
I enjoyed it hugely. Any fans of the Classic Doctors should watch The Five(ish) Doctors too. Peter Davison wrote a spoof based around himself, Colin Baker, and Sylvester McCoy trying to get cameo roles in the anniversary special. Hilarious! http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b03lv3mj/The_Five(ish)_Doctors_Reboot/

Hey, add me if you like! I'm in Sheffield. I know what you mean about time zones! I get wished a 'good morning' at all times of the day on my MFP feed!

Haha, fair enough! I'm a pale ale/blonde beer fan myself, which means I can have more!

I love food. I love all food. I like cooking, and sampling and experimenting. I like eating out at new restaurants and favourite restaurants and when my boyfriend or my Mum cooks for me. I also look forward to occasions where I know there's going to be lots of nice food - holidays (particularly other countries where you…

Gammon steak with a fried egg. And pineapple. And baby sweetcorn (too many carbs?). And ... a grilled tomato. Mmmm ... A ginormous salad full of cheese (halloumi, cherry tomatoes, rocket, avocado, cucumber, radish, grilled courgette slices, sunflower seeds ...) STEAK with green beans and grilled tomatoes and mushrooms and…

It's all good! Some in our local sushi place have battered things in the middle (battered prawns or battered squid). Avoid them, but eat ALL the fish and chicken ones! If there is sauce, it's only going to be a tiny amount! Enjoy!
-
Not true! Unless if you're talking about very strong 10% beer?!
-
I echo what everyone has said - great weight loss - you look stunning! AND - WOW @ black and white film star make-up! Genius. It looks best in the last photo because of the contrast with the normal skin tone of the guy on the left ...

Brilliant! It's so tempting isn't it?! let's see if I can do the same at my Sister's birthday/Halloween party on Saturday. She's baking ... argh!

Whizzed up soft/silken tofu with lemon juice and mustard mixed in makes a very good mayo substitute - might work with eggs!

Amazing loss! I can't wait 'til I get to my halfway goal ... just before Christmas hopefully! Add me if you like :flowerforyou:
