I shouldn't read these threads. Now I really want Lush stuff. And guess what? I'm walking past Lush today on my daily walk around. That's my money gone then! ;)

That's gorgeous!

Soft/Silken Tofu Ma Po Tofu is a wonderful dish (but a bit complicated to make) - http://rasamalaysia.com/recipe-ma-po-tofu/ Melting chocolate and stirring in pureed silken tofu makes a lovely chocolate mousse (although last time I did this I used 'soft' rather than 'silken' as I couldn't find any, and it came out like…

And, Raelb - I'm trying that popcorn chicken recipe! That looks stunning. Sorry, I'll stop posting now. Got a bit overexcited.

Just seen I was beaten to the squashing/draining tip! Sorry for the repetition :)

Oh my God, tofu is amazing. You guys are cooking it wrong! Always always get it out of the packet an hour or so before you cook it, and squash and drain it. I put it on a plate, with my wooden chopping board on top, and kettle on top of that. It gets the excess water out and makes it easier to cook. My fav low-cal version…

This. I'm in the UK - we don't do the Halloween candy so much (and I live in a high rise so no one's going to knock on my door!), and obviously Thanksgiving doesn't register either. BUT at Christmas my family eats and eats and eats. What I did last year (I wasn't trying to lose weight at the time, I was just saving room)…

Current weight: 10 10.5lb Weight lost: 1 and a half pounds! NSV: I bought a size 12 top and it fits! It shows off a few lumps and bumps, so it's staying in the wardrobe for a bit, but still! :) Goals for next week: Stay on track and hula hoop lots ... Weight to go by Christmas: 8.5 pounds (making me 10 stone 2)

Good luck! Glad you got your reward! Yay for rewards!

It's really really oily, isn't it! The problem is, I have a sneaking suspicion it's the extra fat that makes it taste so nice ...
-
A rich kid in Ethopia you mean? Don't trivialise ... I'm on 1,200 calories, but I always eat about 1,500 - just get some extra exercise done and then eat more!
-
Also, yes turkey meatballs are brilliant! I'm going to make some this week - with dried (soaked) cranberries mixed in to give a festive touch!
-
I have that problem. My favourite way of making curries is with Patak's curry pastes, but they are so oily! You can get tikka powders (all the spices dried and ground) which you could then mix with a small amount of olive or rapeseed oil and use instead. I have a very good Tandoori powder that I use for marinated chicken…

Current weight: 10 12lb Weight lost: 1 lb - this makes it half a stone loss since I joined. I am so happy! NSV: Well, I realised I need to either buy a belt of a whole load more clothes! Goals for next week: One more pound ... and then one more pound ... Weight to go by Christmas: 10 pounds (making me 10 stone 2) I'd like…

Eat more cheese, and eat less of something else. Who needs bread, or fatty red meat, or chocolate when you have CHEESE?!
-
That is absolutely incredible and you look amazing! You're an inspiration! :)

I can see there's going to be some sexy Christmases around here! Brilliant stuff!

Yes! They don't fill the bras any more! I've only lost a bit of weight, and it ALL seems to have gone from the boobs! However, I think they're about done shrinking now, so it must be the turn of the stomach bulge, right? Still ... it'll be less embarrassing running for the bus in future! (BOING, BOING, BOING)

Perhaps it is too much of a leap. Try visualising yourself a stone lighter, then a stone lighter than that, etc. Actual concrete visualisations - doing up your belt and realising you need to be on the next hole, exercising for half an hour and feeling exhilarated rather than wiped out, jeans falling down, running your hand…

Loved reading through this thread! It's made me realise how predictable my anticipated rewards are too! I've got several goals. When I'm 10 stone 7, I'm buying myself a Christmas top (a lovely red Peter Pan collar top I've seen) ... intermediate goal! Around about that time, I should be able to fit into my old jeans as…

I'm loving this site too! It makes it all so easy for me (because if I'm not accountable, I lie to myself about how much I'm eating!) MFP LOVE!

Will hula hoop for wine! I share a bottle of wine (white or rose - red gives me a bad head!) with my partner most nights. Also at weekends (and sometimes random weekdays!) I will go out with friends and drink lovely big pints of real ale. I am doing that tonight in fact! I budget for it with exercise calories, and I'm…

Current weight: 10 13lb (153 lbs) YES! BYE BYE 11 STONE-SOMETHINGS! Weight lost: 1 lb again! I am loving MFP! (6 lbs loss since I joined - unprecedented!) NSV: Had a whole week where I didn't go over my calorie goal once! Goals for next week: One more pound ... and then one more pound ... Weight to go by Christmas: 11…

Current weight: 11st 0lb (154 lbs) Weight lost: 1 lb! Yay! NSV: Going out with the new postgraduate students last night and not drinking over my calorie goal despite provocation! Goals for next week: 10 stone something! Also to shake this cold and get back exercising ... Weight to go by Christmas: 12 pounds (making me 10…

Looks lovely! The problem with that though is there is definitely not enough halloumi on that salad! ;)

Lemme just be google translate for a second. So, in the UK - panties = pants pants = trousers thick = stupid As in, 'Wow, you're so thick you put your pants on outside your trousers'. Back to the topic though - someone called me 'Rubenesque' once. I didn't know what it meant at the time. Turns out it means this -…

Oh gosh, and feta's a good low-cal one too! How did I forget feta? :) http://www.nutracheck.co.uk/calories/calories_in_dairy/calories_in_cheese.html

Cheese is the best thing in the world. Seriously. Softer/milder cheese are low calorie (well, lower than harder stronger cheeses) - brie, camembert, mozzarella! Plus of course you can get the low fat mozzarella and that's even better! I personally love soft cheeses the most anyway so that works for me. The other day I had…

Oh yes. This. I think probably everyone who is looking at the forum posts rather than merely logging food and going off and doing other things is a little obsessed! But obsession = focus = motivation. It depends what mood you're in when you describe it I guess! I find that if I get absorbed in something else, and my eating…

Hello! Looks like everyone's had a good week! Keep going you guys, you're inspirational :) Current weight: 11st 1lb (155 lbs I think!) Weight lost: I didn't check in last week because I was on holiday, but 2 lbs! Whoop! NSV: Taken up hula hooping again ... it's making my sides ache ... Goals for next week: One more pound,…
